Schindler Didn’t Disprove Nazi Anti-Semitism, Lassana Bathily Doesn’t Disprove Islamic Anti-Semitism

◼ Oskar Schindler was a member of the Nazi Party who saved over a thousand Jews. He wasn’t the only one. Major Karl Plagge, an early Nazi Party member, never subscribed to its racial theories and worked to save Jews. Citing Schindler or Plagge, who liked much of the Nazi agenda, but didn’t like the killing Jews part of it, does not make Nazism good. It doesn’t disprove the existence of genocidal Nazi anti-Semitism.

If Lassana Bathily, the Muslim worker who reportedly saved a number of Jews during the Muslim attack on a Kosher supermarket, did everything he reportedly did, then he’s a hero.

He’s a hero just like Schindler or Plagge were heroes. It doesn’t mean that a genocidal Islamic anti-Semitism that has been killing Jews for over a thousand years no longer exists.

It doesn’t mean that Islam isn’t inherently anti-Semitic. There is no question that it is.

The reason we respect people like Schindler is not just because they were heroes, but because they defied their society and culture to do the right thing....

If Islam really were a Religion of Peace, then a Muslim saving Jews would not be an extraordinary newsworthy event. Instead the media is using Bathilys’ story to silence the fact that Jews in France are subject to Muslim massacres on a regular basis.

And that’s as bad as using Schindler’s story to whitewash Nazism and pretend the Holocaust never happened.

3. Al-Qaeda is an empty shell compared to ISIS.

4. ISIS is “much stronger” than western politicians think.

5. The Islamic State wants the largest religious cleansing in the history of mankind. They want to murder and enslave all Jews, Christians, Yazidis, and any Muslims who support democracy. (This would be akin to modern recreation of the Holocaust.)

6. ISIS terrorists are the largest threat to peace since the Cold War.

The Fifth Phase This will be the point at which an Islamic state, or caliphate, can be declared. The plan is that by this time, between 2013 and 2016, Western influence in the Islamic world will be so reduced and Israel weakened so much, that resistance will not be feared. ISIS Brags About Selling Yazidi Girls As Sex Slaves

The Islamic State bragged Sunday that it has seized Yazidi women and children as the spoils of war and are now selling the teens as sex slaves, which they argue is their right “firmly established” by Islamic law.

The group boasted about their conquests Sunday in an English-language propaganda magazine. The Washington Post reports that the news was the first confirmation of widespread allegations of detention and sexual abuse against the Yazidi, hundreds of whom were captured as ISIS rampaged through northern Iraq. Hundreds of thousands of the Yazidi were able to escape the region, but thousands did not. The men were slaughtered, while hundreds of women and children were captured.

The Islamic State and other extremists are motivated by the idea of punishing “shirk,” or idolatry. As a result, they have smashed Shia and Sufi sites, statues of poets, Mesopotamian relics from Assyria and Babylonia, and Sunni shrines that are outside the bounds of their narrow beliefs.

The destruction is also useful propaganda, proving their power, advertising their ideology and attracting international attention.

The Islamic State is not only Islamic, it is the very paradigm of Islam, Islam distilled to its essence as practiced by Mohammed, massacring local tribes, raping and enslaving their women, and making war against everyone in his way until he had subdued as much of Arabia as possible.

The New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists estimated Tuesday that about 20 journalists are missing in Syria, and has not released their nationalities. In its annual report last November, CPJ concluded that the missing journalists are either being held and threatened with death by extremists, or taken captive by gangs seeking ransom. The group's report described the widespread seizure of journalists as unprecedented and largely unreported by news organizations in the hope that keeping the kidnappings out of public view may help in the captives' release.

The tactics are described in detail by Dalton Fury, a now retired Delta Force Operator, in the book, Kill Bin Laden: A Delta Force Commander’s Account of the Hunt for the World’s Most Wanted Man.

BACK INTO IRAQ

His feckless irresponsibility allowed the ISIS terrorists – who he once dismissed as the “junior varsity” of al-Qaeda – to sweep into Mosul with an absurdly small force that could have been repelled by the American military presence that should have been there, augmenting and directing the Iraqi troops. Obama was dead wrong about the Iraqis being “sovereign, stable, and self-reliant.” Everyone with actual knowledge of the facts on the ground warned him he was wrong, over and over again, but he didn’t listen, because he was so hungry for that “I ended George Bush’s war” sound bite.

Obama also ignored months of warnings about the impending genocide that has finally spurred him to action. He still doesn’t seem to care much about the ethnic cleansing of Iraqi Christians – I don’t believe he’s even directly addressed the matter in a speech – but the sight of 50,000 Yazidis slowly starving to death on the sun-baked slopes of a barren mountain, surrounded by a horde of bloodthirsty ISIS killers, was impossible for him to ignore. He dithered for days, but in the end, with global media starting to relay pictures of the trapped Yazidis and heart-wrenching footage of them pleading for help, Obama finally came off the golf course (fairly literally – he’s in the middle of taking yet another vacation) and authorized some humanitarian assistance, plus limited airstrikes to weaken ISIS....

The New York Times struggles mightily to keep the cocoon around its liberal readership intact:

Aides said his hand was not forced until ISIS won a series of swift and stunning victories last weekend and Wednesday night against the Kurds in the north, who have been a loyal and reliable American ally, especially compared to the Baghdad government of Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki. ISIS threats to wipe out Yazidis and other religious minorities trapped on Mount Sinjar, they said, added to the urgency.

“You don’t have to have a ton of insight to know he feels reluctant,” said Douglas Ollivant, a former Iraq adviser in the White House under Mr. Obama and President George W. Bush. “He wants the Iraq problem not to exist. And that’s exactly what the American people sent him to the White House to do.” But “all these factors may kind of drag him kicking and screaming into some kind of decision.”

So back into Iraq we go, while Obama’s loyal supporters spin themselves into neck braces trying to explain why none of this is his fault.
