◼ De Blasio's unreported history stirring racial protests - Aaron Klein/WND
Largely unreported in the news coverage of the recent race-related demonstrations is that New York Mayor Bill de Blasio has a history of working with extremist activist groups to stir protests.
Further, de Blasio has a largely unreported history with the controversial Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN.
ACORN’s renamed group, the New York Communities for Change, is one of the organizations helping to lead the protests over the death of Eric Garner, who was killed by police in July.
De Blasio has been accused by critics, including New York police officers, of helping to fuel racial tension between police and protesters....
De Blasio, Soros, MoveOn.org and protests
During the mayoral race last year, New York City media reported billionaire George Soros had endorsed de Blasio. But the reports failed to disclose the billionaire’s major financial donation to de Blasio’s nonprofit as well as the candidate’s cozy working relationship with Soros-funded activist groups. De Blasio worked with some of those groups to stir protests.
In 2011, using his position of public advocate, de Blasio launched a nonprofit called the Coalition for Accountability in Political Spending, or CAPS. The group received its primary launch donation of $400,000 from Soros’ Open Society Institute.
De Blasio used his group and his public office to organize with other Soros-funded groups....

Holder’s Bank of America Heist Funds Left’s Community-Organizer Shock Troops
◼ ...Now we learn that Eric Holder, the Tom Hagen of this racketeering enterprise of an administration, is using the vig that DOJ muscle is extorting from the banks to pour tens of millions of dollars into the coffers of the radical Left’s top rabble-rousers – in addition to diverting what should be public funds to pay off delinquent debts in cities that Democrats have destroyed. - Andrew C. McCarthy/National Review
...The Bank of America heist is not a one-off for the Obama Justice Department. IBD reminds us that similar funding for Democrat activists has been written into the $20 billion in settlements for which JPMorgan Chase and Citibank were shaken down. This is massive fraud and extortion. The heavily regulated financial institutions are at the government’s mercy – that’s why they were making the bad loans in the first place, under pressure from politicians and the very organizations Holder is now inducing them to underwrite....◼ Holder Cut Left-Wing Groups In On $17 Bil BofA Deal - Investors Business Daily
Radical Democrat activist groups stand to collect millions from Attorney General Eric Holder’s record $17 billion deal to settle alleged mortgage abuse charges against Bank of America.
Buried in the fine print of the deal, which includes $7 billion in soft-dollar consumer relief, are a raft of political payoffs to Obama constituency groups. In effect, the government has ordered the nation’s largest bank to create a massive slush fund for Democrat special interests.
Besides requiring billions in debt forgiveness payments to delinquent borrowers in Cleveland, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Oakland, Detroit, Chicago and other Democrat strongholds — and up to $500 million to cover personal taxes owed on those checks — the deal requires BofA to make billions in new loans, while also building affordable low-income rental housing in those areas.
If there are leftover funds in four years, the settlement stipulates the money will go to Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Account (IOLTA), which provides legal aid for the poor and supports left-wing causes, and NeighborWorks of America, which provides affordable housing and funds a national network of left-wing community organizers operating in the mold of Acorn.

NEW VIDEO: Battleground Texas Illegally Copying Voter Data
◼ Battleground Texas Field Organizer Jennifer Longoria was caught on camera multiple times making statements such as, “So every time we register someone to vote we keep their name and number.” Doing so however, is illegal. According to the Secretary of State, it is unlawful to transcribe, copy, or otherwise record a telephone number furnished on a voter registration application. - Project Veritas
◼ EXCLUSIVE: O’KEEFE BUSTS ILLEGAL VOTER SCHEME TO ‘TURN TEXAS BLUE’ - Brandon Darby/Breitbart
...The new revelations are likely to add to concerns about an apparent culture of data sharing among Democrat-aligned political and nonprofit organizations. For example, a previous O'Keefe expose raised questions about whether campaigns to get people to sign up for Obamacare had secondary political motives.
◼ Wendy Davis needs to denounce and disassociate from Battleground Texas - Le-gal In-sur-rec-tion

IMPACT: Wade Rathke, the founder of ACORN, "did office-by-office training sessions on how to handle O’Keefers."
◼ Find out just how much they're hiding from Project Veritas
They are going to desperate measures to hide from Project Veritas.
Wade Rathke, the founder of ACORN, said he “put out instructions and guides on how to identify possible O’Keefe acolytes. We set up an early warning system in all of our offices for any suspicious characters or questions that seemed inappropriate. We did office-by-office training sessions on how to handle O’Keefers. We required a minimum of a weekly role play session with all staff with an organizer being an O’Keefe and walking each organizer through how to handle him or her.”
The same article reported that “Battleground sought to keep 10,000 volunteers from saying or doing anything that might play into O’Keefe’s hands.”
What must really terrify them however, this is just our first video of 2014. Just wait until you see what we have on tape that we haven’t released yet.

RIGGING THE FUTURE: Obamacare Creates 50 New State Databases With No Function Beyond Gathering Potential Voter Information, Real or Fraudulent
◼ David Steinberg reports on a series of precise, brilliant, secretive, and illegal decisions by Obamacare authors that led to the creation of 50 unbeatable election tools — and to nothing else. - David Steinberg/PJMedia
(This is Part One of a two-part article.) READ THE WHOLE THING AT THE LINK.
It was never just a health care “fix” ...
Since the passage of Obamacare, all fifty state Medicaid agencies have been forced to create a new standalone database that contains nothing besides the contact information of Medicaid applicants who used Healthcare.gov.
Some of these new databases mail out voter registration forms automatically. You cannot refuse them.
No worthwhile verification occurs before the forms are mailed. Apply for Medicaid and the form will be mailed to you, be you a verifiable citizen or Ayman al-Zawahiri on a computer in Pakistan.
Further, these new databases are accessible by groups like Organizing for Action, the reconstituted ACORN, and malevolent figures like Chris Tarango.
And no reasonable purpose exists for creating the databases besides making them available to the aforementioned Democratic activists.
...One source involved in the recently initiated legal battle to expose and dismantle the databases described the situation as follows:
Decision #4: The Parting of Data
As instructed, each state designed these new stand-alone databases to be dedicated to storing only the identifying information of Healthcare.gov applicants — but no medical data.
If you happen to be familiar with the basics of both health care and election law, perhaps your pupils just grew wide. Because you are aware that medical records are treated by the law as private and sacrosanct, but voter rolls, consisting of only identifying information, are publicly accessible.
To summarize:
These four bullet points are the basis of Decision #5.
Decision #5: The Illegal, Automatic Mailing of Voter Registration Forms and “Opt-Out” Forms
States were instructed that, to comply with Motor Voter, these new databases must automatically mail voter registration forms to each new individual applicant sent over from Healthcare.gov.
Recall, you may have said “no” earlier. It doesn’t matter.
The new databases must also mail a second form that states “I do not wish to register to vote,” which you must sign and return.
Otherwise, it is assumed you wish to register.
If the Feds notice you still haven’t replied?
Remember Decision #4: the new databases are publicly accessible, since they do not contain any medical information.
Anyone – perhaps Organizing for Action, or Battleground Texas – can get their hands on it, and then show up at your door with yet another form.

Evil genius.Among sources reached for this article, that phrase “evil genius” was employed when referring to what Obamacare requires of state Medicaid entities; we were told its usage has become commonplace....
A complete disregard for certain federal law, the skirting of others, the exploitation of existing Medicaid structures, the issuing of rules and regulations with virtually none of the required paper trail. …
Just evil genius. They friggin’ thought of everything.
Decision #4: The Parting of Data
As instructed, each state designed these new stand-alone databases to be dedicated to storing only the identifying information of Healthcare.gov applicants — but no medical data.

To summarize:
The federal government instructed states that they could not send any applicant data entered into the Medicaid side of Healthcare.gov to their traditional eligibility screeners,
They then instructed state Medicaid agencies to create stand-alone databases for this new applicant information, and that these new databases would be forbidden from containing any medical information.
Per an incorrect application of Motor Voter law, the Obama administration considers the Medicaid side of Healthcare.gov to be a public assistance “office,” and as such, required to offer voter registration services.
The Obama administration also considers it legal to treat the distribution of voter registration forms as “must opt-out,” instead of “must opt-in.”
These four bullet points are the basis of Decision #5.

Obamacare Navigator Fraud Rampant, Not "Isolated Incident"
◼ Today Project Veritas released a second investigation exposing more Obamacare navigators counseling applicants to lie and cheat the health care system by erroneously reporting income status, health history, and more.
Critics said the first video was an isolated incident so we decided to visit with even more navigators funded by your American tax dollars. What we found was disturbing and showed a clear pattern of fraud through the Obamacare navigator program.
Obamacare navigators counseling undercover journalists saying,
To get a lower premium, I wouldn't include it ... that's my money."
"Don't put it on there."
"You don't have to claim it."

The Truth about Navigators CAUGHT ON TAPE: Obamacare Navigators Counsel Applicants to "Lie"
◼ James O’Keefe reveals corruption at the heart of the president’s signature program. - John Fund/National Review
“You lie because your premiums will be higher,” one navigator advises an investigator for O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, who tells the worker he sometimes smokes. “Don’t tell them that. Don’t tell ’em.”
...O’Keefe’s cameras then visit Enroll America, a nationwide nonprofit group that has launched a multi-state grassroots campaign to help millions of Americans sign up for health coverage. Daniel Clayton of Enroll America says the group is “purely nonprofit. It’s not partisan, non-political.” But when Brian Pendleton of Enroll America is introduced at a speaking engagement, Enroll America is described as “the official group for the DNC [Democratic National Committee].”
...The law’s problems are coming from more sides than a pentadecagon. But one of the most serious things undermining its credibility is the Obama administraion’s seemingly complete indifference to corruption within one of the key groups tasked with its implementation. We’ll have to see just how much worse it gets.

◼ Are #ObamaCare Navigators Teaming With Battleground Texas To Turn The Lone Star State Blue? - LaborUnionReport/RedState
No, your information is not safe under ObamaCare…at least not in Texas.
Earlier this year, a left-wing group of organizers and operatives formed a group called Battleground Texas.
Headed by a former field director of Obama for America, Battleground Texas’ sole aim is to turn Texas from a so-called “red state” to another California–that is, almost singularly controlled by liberal Democrats....
Now, however, a video released by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas over the last few days has revealed that Battleground Texas may actually be gathering data on ObamaCare enrollees from one of the groups enlisted to enroll ObamaCare enrollees.
According to O’Keefe’s video, Enroll America, a “501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to maximize the number of uninsured Americans who enroll in health coverage made available by the Affordable Care Act” is sharing data with Battleground Texas.
Clarence Landry, an organizer with Enroll America, Texas, is seen on the video talking about working with, and cross-pollinating the same data with Battleground Texas.
A moment later, a woman named Adrian Bell [sic], a field director with Battleground Texas explains that Battleground Texas is a “Democratic organization.”

Obama’s ACORN Pals Cashing In on Obamacare Enrollment
◼ President Obama’s old friends in the ACORN crime syndicate have decided to get a piece of the big-money Obamacare action. United Labor Unions (ULU) Local 100 in New Orleans, which is run by ACORN founder Wade Rathke, announced on its Facebook page that it’s gearing up “to do mass enrollment and help navigate people into the marketplaces in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas under the Affordable Care Act!” - Matthew Vadum/American Spectator
Be afraid. Wherever Rathke goes, lawlessness follows.
...“Local 100’s role as a Navigator, suggest[s] the program is less about health care and more about building a new progressive infrastructure,” says longtime ACORN-watcher Mike Flynn of Breitbart.com.
Among the other left-wing groups hopping on the Obamacare navigator bandwagon are the Democrat-friendly Planned Parenthood, National Urban League, and Virginia Poverty Law Center Inc.
Other left-wing groups have signed up with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as “Champions of Coverage.” They vow to promote enrollment by emailing their members, hanging posters, giving out fact sheets and brochures, holding conference calls, or promoting enrollment in other ways.
Among the Champions of Coverage are Families USA, League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), NAACP, Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and U.S. PIRG Education Fund.
Enrollment will be a dangerous free-for-all because Obamacare “navigators” are barely regulated at all. By the way, the only reason there are any “navigators” is to help the left, as HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has more or less admitted. Imposing rules would only interfere with community organizers’ ability to wreak havoc and spread the gospel of so-called social justice....
These community organizers will have access to “social security numbers and tax information” and HHS isn’t even planning on running background checks before sending them out into the field. “Besides the obvious identity theft concerns, this is a frightening development in light of the political activities and invasion of privacy, which the IRS and others have engaged in during the Obama presidency,” Jindal says.
But as we’ve learned in the Obama era, this kind of craziness is par for the course with community organizers.
◼ Seedco: Obamacare's Fraud-Stained Navigators - Michelle Malkin/Townhall
Welcome to ObamaWreck! Americans nationwide spent Tuesday struggling with the much-hyped "Affordable Care Act" health insurance exchanges. Server meltdowns, error messages and security glitches plagued the federal and state government websites as open enrollment began. But when taxpayers discover exactly who will be navigating them through the bureaucratic maze, they may be glad they didn't get through.
U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius controls a $54 million slush fund to hire thousands of "navigators," "in-person assisters" and counselors, who are now propagandizing and recruiting Obamacare recipients into the government-run exchanges. As I warned in May, the Nanny State navigator corps is a serious threat to Americans' privacy. Background checks and training requirements are minimal to nonexistent. A history of fraud is no barrier to entry.
Case in point: the seedy nonprofit Seedco. This community-organizing group snagged lucrative multimillion-dollar navigator contracts in Georgia, Maryland, Tennessee and New York. The New York Post reports this week that the outfit "is partnering with dozens of agencies, such as the Gay Men's Health Crisis, Food Bank for New York City and the Chinese American Planning Council, in each of (the Big Apple's) five boroughs." They'll have access to potential enrollees' income levels, birthdates, addresses, eligibility for government assistance, Social Security numbers and intensely personal medical information.
Be afraid. Wherever Rathke goes, lawlessness follows.

In other words, the Obama administration -- which has abused ICE, the IRS, the DOJ, the ATF, and a host of other agencies for political ends -- will have the ultimate leverage over you, the individual. It will know everything about your physical and mental condition. And its political arms -- radical community organizations like ACORN and La Raza -- will have unfettered access to your health care data.

Most Americans are proud of their country, he said. The risk is from progressives, who he says “seek [nothing] short of their own revolution, one that will purposefully instill tyranny in order to instill social equality, which is just a fancy term for socialism.”
◼ BEST-SELLING AUTHOR’S BOLD SUGGESTION: IT’S TIME FOR TEA PARTY TO CONSIDER A NEW NAME — HERE’S WHY - Erica Ritz/The Blaze
“I’m throwing this out there…” Thor told the audience. “Do we need to consider adopting another name so that we can reach out to young people…get beyond the stigma? We don’t have to change our values. Do you think ACORN changed its values…?”
The audience seemed almost completely on board, throwing up a cheer immediately....
Thor did not suggest a new name for the Tea Party, but spoke about how conservatives can go about “reclaiming” the Republican Party by utilizing the same tactics as the Democrats.
The audience may not agree with the opinions and policies of those on the left, but Thor said it’s undeniable that they have a certain talent when it comes to messaging and organizing.
“Success leaves clues, and if you sow the same seeds, you’ll reap the same rewards,” he said.
One of Thor’s ideas was to take out billboards in every black community across the United States reading: “There’s a limit to what the Democrat Party can do for you, and you’ve been seeing it for decades.” Below would be statistics like the black unemployment rate, incarceration rate, and more. He noted that Democrats always warn Republicans about being on “the wrong side of history” in various issues — Democrat stances in history could also be on the billboards, from slavery to Jim Crow laws to the Ku Klux Klan.
“There are gains that the Republicans can be making in those precincts, and I don’t know why they’re not trying harder,” he said.

True The Vote was targeted by the IRS
◼ The Abuse Of Power By Our Government On True The Vote - Kathleen McKinley/Houston Chronicle Blog/Texas Sparkle
Prepare to have your mind blown. I knew that Catherine Engelbrecht, the founder of True The Vote, had been targeted by liberal groups, but I had no idea the extent OUR GOVERNMENT had harassed her.
◼ TRUE THE VOTE FOUNDER: IRS TEA PARTY SCANDAL 'BEGINNING OF TYRANNY' - Brandon Darby/Breitbart
...the problem may extend further than the IRS, and require a "government-wide" probe across several agencies, as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has suggested.
The issue was initially believed to only involve groups with “Tea Party” or “patriots” in their names being singled out for greater scrutiny by the IRS, but recent admissions reveal that a wide range of conservative and constitution-oriented groups were singled out by the federal government. Most media outlets have focused on 2012 as the year the abuses occurred, but one prominent Tea Party-initiated organization, True the Vote, began to run into alleged federal government abuses in 2010--from a variety of agencies.
True the Vote, a Houston-based nonprofit which focuses on election integrity issues, was formed by Catherine Engelbrecht and her King Street Patriots Tea Party group. True the Vote applied to the IRS for their 501(c3) non-profit status in July 2010, and almost immediately their problems began.
Within two years, multiple federal agencies, along with an EPA-affiliated Texas state agency, began auditing True the Vote and its founders, visiting their group, their businesses, and asking questions of people who knew them. The IRS was not the only governmental agency involved.
Engelbrecht’s application with the IRS for non-profit status allegedly triggered aggressive audits of one of her family’s personal businesses as well. The FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) began a series of inquiries about her and her group; the BATF (Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms) began demanding to see her family's firearms in surprise audits of her and her husband’s small gun
dealership--which had done less than $200 in sales; OSHA (Occupational Safety Hazards Administration) began a surprise audit of their small family manufacturing business; and the EPA-affiliated TCEQ (Texas Commission on Environment Quality) did a surprise visit and audit due to “a complaint being called in.”
The Democratic Party of Texas filed a lawsuit against her, as did an ACORN affiliated group. Both the FBI and the BATF continued to poke around her life, the lives of people in her Tea Party group, and her businesses.
Ultimately, the IRS determined that it actually owed a refund to Engelbrecht; the BATF found nothing wrong in any of its repeated visits and audits; OSHA’s fine-toothed comb found reason to demand $25,000 from Engelbrecht’s family business; and TCEQ demanded the Engelbrechts spend $42,000 on additional storage sheds.
“This is what the beginning of tyranny looks like," Engelbrecht said. "My family and I have lived with great concern that we would be subject to even greater government abuses if we were vocal about what they were doing to us because of our political views and our efforts to increase governmental accountability....

Blueprint NC: How A Shadowy Left-Wing Hydra Plans A Targeted Attack On NC Republicans
◼ On Thursday, the Charlotte Observer ran a story about a leaked confidential memo released by a below-the-radar shadow group called Blueprint NC. The confidential memo revealed a left-wing plan to attack North Carolina’s governor and other conservative leaders. - RedState
According to the Observer’s piece, the confidential memo was from Bluepint NC’s Communications Coordinator Stephanie Bass and addressed to its “partner groups.”
As part of a two-year plan to “Eviscerate, Mitigate, Litigate, Cogitate, and Agitate,” the memo outlines a strategy to target Republican Governor Pat McRory and other conservative leaders:
“Crippl(e) their leaders (McCrory, Tillis, Berger etc.)”If you’ve never heard of Blueprint NC, you’re not alone. The semi-private group seems dedicated to keeping a low public profile
“Eviscerate the leadership and weaken their ability to govern.”
“Pressure McCrory at every public event.”
“Slam him when he contradicts his promises.”
“Private investigators and investigative reporting, especially in the executive branch…”
Blueprint NC also appears to be very well funded. The Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, which was established in 1936 as a memorial to the youngest son of the founder of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, gave Blueprint NC $850,000 for “general operating support” in 2010.
The Foundation is apparently still giving Blueprint NC money—to the sum of $400,000, according to a report in Friday’s Observer.
However, due to the light being shined on Blueprint NC’s strategy (and, consequently, the Foundation), that support may now be in jeopardy:
Leslie Winner, executive director of the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, said she was “surprised and disappointed” by the actions of Blueprint North Carolina.
“(Z. Smith Reynolds) believes in robust debate on issues of public importance, (it) does not support attacking people,” Winner said. “We were disappointed to learn that Blueprint is advocating this strategy…
“We are taking this seriously. We are determining our options and our obligations. We will get to the bottom of it.”
The Foundation is providing $400,000 of Blueprint’s nearly $1 million budget, Winner said.

[EXCLUSIVE VID] Busted: Obama’s Fieldworks Office Admits Funneling Money to Defeat Allen West
◼ The progressive left has made no secret of their hatred for Congressman Allen West. It will be months until we fully understand the national coordination and vast resources that were brought to Florida in an attempt to defeat him at all costs. One group that shifted resources to his district is Fieldworks. - Clash Daily
Fieldworks is a progressive campaign organization that has secured many of ACORN’s old contracts. ACORN went bankrupt after Hannah Giles’s child prostitution expose.
Most notably Fieldworks has extensive Voter Registration and “Get Out The Vote” contracts with almost every major progressive left organization in America.

Obama and Ayers Pushed Radicalism On Schools
◼ link - Stanley Kurtz/Wall St. Journal
Despite having authored two autobiographies, Barack Obama has never written about his most important executive experience. From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists....
CAC translated Mr. Ayers's radicalism into practice. Instead of funding schools directly, it required schools to affiliate with "external partners," which actually got the money. Proposals from groups focused on math/science achievement were turned down. Instead CAC disbursed money through various far-left community organizers, such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (or Acorn).
Mr. Obama once conducted "leadership training" seminars with Acorn, and Acorn members also served as volunteers in Mr. Obama's early campaigns. External partners like the South Shore African Village Collaborative and the Dual Language Exchange focused more on political consciousness, Afrocentricity and bilingualism than traditional education. CAC's in-house evaluators comprehensively studied the effects of its grants on the test scores of Chicago public-school students. They found no evidence of educational improvement....
The Obama campaign has cried foul when Bill Ayers comes up, claiming "guilt by association." Yet the issue here isn't guilt by association; it's guilt by participation. As CAC chairman, Mr. Obama was lending moral and financial support to Mr. Ayers and his radical circle. That is a story even if Mr. Ayers had never planted a single bomb 40 years ago.

More Hope and Change…
Mike Klonsky, an Obama supporter and former associate of the radicals who formed the terrorist group the Weatherman, received a $175,000 grant from the William Ayers/Barack Obama-led Annenberg Challenge to run the Small Schools Workshop....
So it should come as no surprise that Mike Klonsky, the former Communist Party leader, is a huge supporter of Karen Lewis, head of the Chicago Teachers’ Union. Chicago teachers went on strike today for the first time in 25 years despite the fact that the average teacher salary in Chicago is $74,839 a year.

In Massachusetts: Elizabeth Warren daughter secretly behind effort by Mass to register 500k welfare recipients
◼ it’s about Elizabeth Warren once again rigging the system for her own benefit. - Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion
The news broke today that Massachusetts has taken extraordinary efforts in response to a lawsuit by a former ACORN affiliated, Soros-funded group to register 500,000 welfare recipients to vote (who would have thought there were that many people on welfare considering Mass has only 6.5 million residents).
Republicans cried foul, as this was a transparent attempt to register Warren’s base, while no similar efforts were made to register voters who might be more favorably inclined towards Brown.
Rob Eno of Red Mass Group, however, took the story to an entirely new level by discovering that the group in question is ◼ run by Elizabeth Warren’s daughter:

Elizabeth Warren's daughter Amelia Warren Tyagi is leaving nothing to chance in the 2012 election for her mother. Warren Tyagi, the chair of the George Soros funded Demos Foundation, has bankrolled, through Demos, former members of ACORN in their pursuit to have the Commonwealth's welfare agency perform a voter registration drive. The Boston Herald has the story, although they missed the Warren familial connection.

"Our country is under attack from the inside," she said. "The Department of Justice has gone wild; it is not working on behalf of the American people. It is working for these pressure groups."

Unless voter integrity efforts take root this year, the notion of free and fair elections could become a relic of American history, Catherine Engelbrecht warned listeners during the "True the Vote National Summit in Houston, Texas yesterday. Engelbrecht, who is the president and founder of the organization, cited specific instances throughout the country where the number of voters listed on registration rolls exceeded the actual number of eligible voters. She also said it was far too easy for non-citizens to obtain voter registration forms.
"The next few months are critical to the telling of our story," she said. "Our goal is the make the 2012 elections the freest and fairest the country has ever seen." Engelbrecht acknowledged this is a tall order. The various pressure groups opposed to photo identification requirements are very well funded and well organized. But they are not on the side of public opinion.
The latest survey from Rasmussen finds that 64 percent of likely U.S. voters see voter fraud as a serious problem. The same survey also reports that 73 percent of Americans do not view photo ID laws as being discriminatory.
Other speakers included Anita MonCrief, a former ACORN/Project Vote employee, turned conservative activist...(and) Pat Caddell, a Fox News Contributor, and Democratic political strategist.

What motivated Breitbart?
◼ He wrote in Righteous Indignation (p.10): - Sam Blumenfeld/The New American
If the political left weren’t so joyless, humorless, intrusive, taxing, overtaxing, anarchistic, controlling, rudderless, chaos-prone, pedantic, unrealistic, hypocritical, clueless, politically correct, angry, cruel, sanctimonious, retributive, redistributive, intolerant—and if the political left weren‘t hell-bent on expansion of said unpleasantness into all aspects of my family’s life—the truth is, I would not be in your life. That was enough to get him rolling. The fact that the left was determined to impose their hatred of God and hatred of life on everyone in America was sufficient cause for him to confront these “totalitarian freaks” head on. The left was not used to that sort of confrontation in America where they were usually able to get their way because of the fecklessness of the opposition.

ACORN-linked group raising funds for California 'Occupy' protest
◼ link
A re-branded ACORN branch in California is raising money to help fund an upcoming "Occupy" protest in Sacramento, FoxNews.com has learned.
The Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment sent out letters this month pleading for contributions of up to $20,000 for buses, food, printing, sound and other supplies for an upcoming event dubbed "Occupy the Capitol."
“Thousands of us are arriving in Sacramento on March 5 to Occupy the Capitol with our demand that the 1 percent pay for jobs, education, essential services, and a better future,” reads a copy of the letter obtained by FoxNews.com. “We need your activists and staff to join us. …We also urgently need funding.”
The letter, which was posted on the California Federation of Teachers' website, lists a tiered system for donors. To be a “Working Class Hero,” donors must give $20,000, or enough to "rent 20 buses" for the protests. A gift of $5,000 earns an "Occupy Ally” designation.
Critics said the fundraising is yet more evidence linking the remnants of ACORN, a national organization that disbanded after a series of scandals, to the national "Occupy" movement. Like ACORN, the new group, a 501(c)3 non-profit, could be using federal funds for political ends, said Dan Epstein, executive director for Cause of Action, a Washington-based watchdog group.
“We have seen that ACCE has lobbied for federal funding, thus raising a serious concern: If they are acting as a fiscal sponsor for the 'Occupy' movement, are they using federal dollars for the same political ends,” Epstein said....

House Judiciary letter warns Holder not to redistribute $335M Countrywide settlement to ACORN affiliates
◼ House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Lamar Smith warned Attorney General Eric Holder not to permit the transfer of funds from a recent $335 million Department of Justice settlement to organizations associated with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, more commonly known as ACORN, or other advocacy groups allied with President Obama. - Daily Caller
“I am concerned that the terms of the Justice Department’s recent settlement with Countrywide Financial Corporation and certain affiliates (collectively, ‘Countrywide’) will allow the Department to give large sums of money to individuals and organizations with questionable backgrounds or close political ties to the White House without any guidelines or oversight,” Smith wrote.

ACORN to the #OWS Rescue
◼ Remember ACORN? Well, the original left-wing "community organizing" group may be back in a new guise as a key behind-the-scenes ally of the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) movement. - John Fund/American Spectator
Given his cratering approval numbers and his consequent need to revive support from his base, it wouldn't surprise me if Obama's White House has decided to call in his old ACORN buddies to help him implement his reelection agenda. Perhaps OWS really stands for Obama Will Survive.
