In essence the CFPB director position was created to work above the reach of any oversight; almost like a tenured position no-one could ever remove.











...When Senator Elizabeth Warren and crew set up the Director of the CFPB, in the aftermath of the Dodd-Frank Act, they made it so that the appointed director can only be fired for cause by the President.

This design was so the Director could operate outside the control of congress and outside the control of the White House. In essence the CFPB director position was created to work above the reach of any oversight; almost like a tenured position no-one could ever remove.

The position was intentionally put together so that he/she would be untouchable, and the ideologue occupying the position would work on the goals of the CFPB without any oversight.

Elizabeth Warren herself wanted to be the appointed director; however, the reality of her never passing senate confirmation made her drop out.

The CFPB Director has the power to regulate pensions, retirement investment, mortgages, bank loans, credit cards and essentially every aspect of all consumer financial transactions.

However, in response to legal challenges by Credit Unions and Mortgage providers, last October the DC Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that placing so much power in a single Czar or Commissioner was unconstitutional...

Warren catching fire on the left as Hillary gets silence at CA Dem convention



The RunWarrenRun crew made their presence known. Bernie Sanders supporters showed up with volumes of flyers and banners touting their candidate.

But crickets when it came to the candidate that has been made out as the de facto nominee, Hillary Rodham Clinton. It’s been over a month since Hillary announced her candidacy for President, and she continues to evade answering media questions. Breitbart Senior Editor at Large Peter Schweizer’s book Clinton Cash has come out since her announcement and still no reply to the myriad questions thrown around in the media leaving nothing but postulation as to what she might answer if she actually spoke.

Democrats discover Obama can be a jerk -- and can't handle it.





Consider the Washington Post’s Dana Milbank. For the last six years, he’s spent much of his time rolling his eyes and sneering at Republicans....

“Let’s suppose you are trying to bring a friend around to your point of view,” Milbank writes. “Would you tell her she’s emotional, illogical, outdated, and not very smart? Would you complain that he’s being dishonest, fabricating falsehoods and denying reality with his knee-jerk response?” “Such a method of a persuasion is likelier to get you a black eye than a convert,” Milbank notes. “Yet this is how President Obama treats his fellow Democrats on trade . . .” Yes, well, true enough. But lost on Milbank is the fact that this is precisely how Obama treats everyone who disagrees with him. When Obama — who ran for office touting his ability to work with Republicans and vowing to cure the partisan dysfunction in Washington — treated Republicans in a far ruder and shabbier way, Milbank celebrated....

All that has changed is that he’s doing the exact same thing to Democrats, and it’s making them sad. Specifically, he’s accused Senator Elizabeth Warren of not having her facts straight. He says she’s just a politician following her partisan self-interest.

But here’s the hilarious part: Liberals can’t take it. The president of NOW, Terry O’Neill, accused Obama of being sexist. O’Neill sniped that Obama’s “clear subtext is that the little lady just doesn’t know what she’s talking about.” She added, “I think it was disrespectful.” Both O’Neill and Senator Sherrod Brown also sniff sexism in the fact that Obama referred to Warren as “Elizabeth.”

Warren, a Massachusetts Democrat and prominent liberal voice, stuck to her argument in an interview published on Monday with a Washington Post blog, saying Obama should release details of the Pacific trade talks so legal experts can determine if a pact could be used to weaken U.S. bank rules.
"If the president is so confident it's a good deal, he should declassify the text and let people see it before asking Congress to tie its hands on fixing it," Warren said in the interview with the Plum Line blog.
Also on Monday, the second-ranking Senate Democrat raised doubt there were enough votes among Democrats to propel the fast-track bill over a procedural hurdle on Tuesday.

The Senate is expected to approve a bill to give the president “fast track” authority to make trade deals, reducing Congress’ role to approving or rejecting the entire deal. Members of Congress would not be allowed to filibuster a vote on a trade pact, add amendments, delete parts or otherwise tweak the final version of a trade deal.

This is the end of the road for Elizabeth Warren



For months and months (and months), we've ranked Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren as the second-most-likely Democrat to be the party's presidential nominee in 2016.

No more!

We are officially dropping Warren from our rankings of the top five(ish) Democrats who could win the party's nomination next year. There's a simple reason: We just see no way she will run. Yes, you could argue that Warren's lack of interest has been consistent. But six months ago, that "lack of interest" could have been just a public pose as she waited to see whether Hillary Clinton would make it to the starting line.

But, with Clinton ready to officially announce her bid Sunday, it's now abundantly clear that Warren isn't going to get into the race.
