At the close of 2015, the pot is getting ready to boil over....

Breitbart News has given #BlackLivesMatter more detailed, deep, and honest coverage than any other media outlet on the planet in 2015, and for good reason. From covering every major protest they did to ◼ exposing the cop killer that the group worships to revealing the ◼ secret funder behind the movement to Milo Yiannopoulos’s ◼ complete shredding of activist Shaun King, Breitbart News has been the go-to source for original reporting on Black Lives Matter....

We’ve seen universities from coast-to-coast bullied into staff firings and policy changes that were meant to only aid black students. These college uprisings have been accompanied by a fierce hatred of free speech; and when combined with the bold aggressiveness of multicultural and feminist Social Justice Warriors, they’ve created an educational environment that is openly hostile to white students and faculty.

With the next presidential election only 11 months away, conservatives and Republicans would be making a huge mistake to ignore the Black Lives Matter movement.

At the close of 2015, the pot is getting ready to boil over....

The engine that drives the anger is the mainstream media, which has done nothing to seriously vet the Black Lives Matter movement. Much of the anger is caused by the inaccurate reporting that consistently vilifies the police and leaves out key details about the shooting victims. This has led to fables such as “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot,” which have continued to be amplified and repeated by Black Lives Matter protesters long after they have been debunked.

In fact, one of the key characteristics of the Black Lives Matter movement and the mainstream media’s reporting on it is a naked antipathy for facts. Both in real life and on social media like Twitter, leading Black Lives Matter activists are known for shutting down the speech of dissenting opinions and literally blocking anyone who disagrees with them.

The result has been a hermetically sealed activist movement that is angry and ignorant, with a hairtrigger temper and a long list of grievances that have no factual basis. Worse, their set of crazed demands have been granted time and again by officials who are too scared to speak out for fear of being branded racists.

Like spoiled children, none of this appeasement has done anything to quell the protesters’ fury. Every time that politicians or university administrators have given into the outrageous, entitled Black Lives Matter mob, they’ve learned that feeding that monster has only given it more power to make more demands....

...the current political season is set to be even more divisive than either of the last two election cycles, which had already set a very high bar for vitriol.

As the newest incarnation of the activist Left, Black Lives Matter will not back down or rest until it is either stopped by somone gutsy enough to call them out or until it gets what it wants: a bloody revolution leading to a socialist/anarchist America.

Baltimore Mayor Tells Local NAACP Not To Allow Republicans Into Their Office



...Actually he is not a member of either party, but thinks that the NAACP should work with both parties saying that blind allegiance to the Democratic Party hinders true civil rights progress.
“The NAACP — on a national level, not necessarily a local level — has this liberal machine they bow down to that does nothing to help them in the long run,”
Which is why he welcomed Republicans' attempt to reach out to the black community, it gives them leverage to play one of the other.
“When National found out that I was bringing the governor [Larry Hogan, a Republican], the lieutenant governor [Boyd Rutherford, a Republican], and Dr. [Alveda] King to Baltimore and the Sandtown NAACP office, they literally called and said, ‘There’s no way in the world they can come into our office,'” Giordano explained. “Then the Mayor [Democrat, Stephanie Rawlings-Blake] — who kind of gave the us the NAACP office in Sandtown — called and said, ‘No, you’re not allowed.'”

“And then, the president [of the Baltimore NAACP branch, Tessa Hill-Aston] called me,” he continued. “And she said, ‘You know they’re having a fit because you’re bringing in too many Republicans.'"...

It's increasingly difficult to tell the difference between Teach for America -- whose leaders are at the forefront of inflammatory anti-police protests in Baltimore, Ferguson, and now McKinney, Texas -- and left-wing activist groups such as Organizing for Action (President Obama's partisan community organizing army).

Guess what, taxpayers? You're paying for it!

Wendy Kopp founded Teach for America in 1989 after writing her Princeton University thesis on the need for a "national teaching corps" of elite college grads who would serve students on short-term stints in low-income neighborhoods. The do-gooder group has exploded into a massive, nonprofit business.

Why couldn’t $130 million transform one of Baltimore’s poorest places?

It’s another failure of half-baked liberal policy. Hundreds of millions of dollars have been poured into projects to try to rehabilitate inner city neighborhoods like Baltimore’s. But as the Washington Post reported, government bureaucracy stifled innovation and jobs never materialized.

...The effort to revive Sandtown was massive. More than 1,000 homes were eventually renovated or built. Schools were bolstered. Education and health services were launched.

But there were many obstacles along the way, according to Enterprise’s report. Some residents complained that the vision was too grand to execute. Others involved said the city’s bureaucracy stifled innovation.

The most significant problem, according to community organizers and the Enterprise report, was that new businesses and jobs never materialized. And as Baltimore’s decent-paying manufacturing jobs vanished — a problem shared by Detroit, Cleveland and other Rust Belt cities — there were fewer and fewer opportunities for Sandtown residents to find meaningful work.

In the absence of jobs, the drug trade flourished.

Maryland Democrat pinpoints Baltimore’s problem: Wealth hasn’t been spread around enough



For partisan liberals, the spate of urban violence that has characterized anti-law enforcement demonstrations and riots for nearly one year has presented both an opportunity and a challenge. While many Democrats have welcomed the spotlight on policing, urban poverty, and the plight of inner city minorities, they have also been confronted with the unsatisfying results of generations of monopoly Democratic governance.

Some on the left have chosen to ignore this annoying reality entirely.

From prisons, to crumbling infrastructure, to overzealous police, to outsourcing, Baltimore’s predicament is everyone’s fault but the party that has enjoyed prohibitive control over the levers of power in that city for over a half century.

On Sunday, Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace confronted a Maryland Democrat with the failures of America’s Democrat-dominated urban centers. And not just any Democrat. Wallace sat down across from Rep. Donna Edwards, a progressive Democrat who is running against fellow Maryland Democrat and chosen successor to Sen. Barbara Mikulski, Rep. Chris Van Hollen, for an open U.S. Senate seat in the Old Line State.

Wallace asked Edwards whether it was fair to note that Baltimore has been governed from the left for generations and if it was true to claim “liberal policies have failed” that city. Edwards did not seem to dismiss that comment as invalid, but she also indicated that the only solution to the problems of Democratic governance was more Democratic governance.

Dershowitz, a Harvard Law professor emeritus and Newsmax contributor, said the case will very likely be thrown out for lack of evidence.

"I understand why the mayor and state attorney want to prevent riots . . . but that's not the job of the justice system . . . You cannot allow police officers or any other defendants to become scapegoats for crowds demanding a continuation of rioting," he told host Steve Malzberg.

"There's no plausible, hypothetical, conceivable case for murder under the facts that we now know them. You might say that conceivably there's a case for manslaughter. Nobody wanted this guy to die, nobody set out to kill him, and nobody intentionally murdered him.

"The worst-case scenario is a case for involuntary manslaughter or some kind of reckless disregard, but the idea of without further investigation coming down with murder indictments . . . This is a show trial. This is designed to please the crowd. It's designed to lower the temperature."

Dershowitz added that the charges did not meet the criteria for justice in the United States.

"It may have been the criteria in Rome, for Fidel Castro, in Iran, and in other countries, but in our country you don't base indictments on what impact it's going to have on the crowd," he said.

"You base it on a hard, neutral, objective view of the evidence, and it doesn't look like that was done here . . . They have invited a mess. What they did is they bartered short-term results today for long-term problems in the future.

"My prediction? They've overplayed their hand, it's unlikely they'll get any convictions in this case as a result of this, and if they do, there's a good possibility it'll be reversed on appeal and will just postpone the riots for months ahead."

A friend of the Baltimore officers involved in Freddie Gray’s arrest told Fox News Friday night that Gray often served as a police “witness” and assisted the department in solving “many crimes.”

“Freddie was one of those ones where a lot of times he would put on a show on the streets but you bring him in the station and he was a great witness,” the anonymous officer told host Megyn Kelly.

“I mean, helped the department solve many crimes and different acts of violence,” the individual added. “So, it wasn’t uncommon for Freddie to do that type of thing and then go into the station.”

When asked if officers hit Gray, the individual responded “absolutely not.” According to the source, officers chased Gray when he made eye contact with law-enforcmenet and ran in an area he was known to sell drugs.
Maybe Gray wasn’t seatbelted because the officers knew him and believed he didn’t pose a threat?

Completely hypothetical, but very interesting nonetheless.

Race riots usually begin with criminality and end with criminality. They're protests by criminals on behalf of a dead criminal.

The stores with smashed windows aren't the means to express outrage, but the end. The purpose of criminality is criminality. The police exist so that stores can remain unrobbed and random pedestrians can remain unbeaten. The protests express opposition to that policy by robbing stores and assaulting random white people.

The police were never the problem. The looters and rioters were.

The counterculture has not changed dramatically since the 70's, but it has tossed aside any appearance of idealism. The new counterculture draws in two groups, disaffected upper middle class white youth and lower class black youth. Their goals are purely materialistic, looted iPods and government subsidies for housing, education and anything else they can think of.

Another prisoner believes Freddie Gray tried to injure himself, report says







A fellow prisoner said Freddie Gray was banging against the walls of the Baltimore Police van that was transporting him and was deliberately seeking to hurt himself, the Washington Post reported.

According to a police document obtained by the Post, the fellow prisoner couldn’t see Gray because of a metal partition.

But he could listen and he told police he heard Gray “banging against the walls” and could tell that he “was intentionally trying to injure himself.”

It isn’t clear how much other evidence backs up the prisoner’s account of the 30-minute van ride. The document was written by a Baltimore police investigator... Gray was found unconscious in the van and died of spinal injuries a week later.

Drummond: Former Oakland police Chief Batts in hot seat in Baltimore

Batts is no stranger to police brutality protests. Ten months into his Oakland tenure, there were violent protests in Oakland after former BART police Officer Johannes Mehserle was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in July 2010 for fatally shooting Oscar Grant III, 22, on the Fruitvale BART platform. How Batts dealt with those protests and his public comments about how he would have handled Occupy Oakland demonstrations differently had he been in charge -- provide some interesting insight into Batts recent performance in Baltimore.

In July 2010, many people in Oakland were outraged by the Oscar Grant verdict of involuntary manslaughter instead of murder. Grant, an unarmed African-American man had been shot in the back while he was handcuffed, an event captured on cellphone video. A relatively small number of people vandalized cars, businesses and looted.

Batts would later say that he had made a strategic decision to give the protesters room.

"We allowed the protesters to start breaking into Foot Locker. ... But we had to do that because we didn't want to look like this was a police action, where we were responding too soon," Batts told Oakland North in an interview in November 2011. "Then we had a very coordinated plan. It took us time to just kind of corral them, bring them in and take them to jail."

Batts said people came up to him on the streets to congratulate him for how OPD handled the situation. Though, I recall a lot of people being angry about the destruction and OPD's hands-off approach.

Dr. Ben Carson: Baltimore Rioting Is ‘Truly Senseless’

If black lives really mattered, then black violence would matter. But that would mean taking responsibility for a broken culture which few leaders in the black community are ready to do.




The murder rate in Baltimore stood at 37.4 to 100,000 people. There have already been 63 murders this year. Fifty-six of the victims were black. Of the 16 murders in the last 30 days, 14 of the victims were black.

If black lives really mattered, then black violence would matter. But that would mean taking responsibility for a broken culture which few leaders in the black community are ready to do.

In 2012, after four years of his own failed policies, President Obama won a whopping 87.4% of the Baltimore City vote. Democrats run the city of Baltimore, the unions, the schools, and, yes, the police force. Since 1969, there have only been only been two Republican governors of the State of Maryland.
Elijah Cummings has represented Baltimore in the U.S. Congress for more than thirty years. As I write this, despite his objectively disastrous reign, the Democrat-infested mainstream media is treating the Democrat like a local folk hero, not the obvious and glaring failure he really is.

Every single member of the Baltimore city council is a Democrat.


Known for his “One Minute Drive Time” videos, Derrick Grayson gives his thoughts to dash-fixed camera as he drives.
Grayson blasts liberal politicians in his latest video, starting with Obama.

“Obama, you’ve been in office for six years and have done nothing,” Grayson says.

“Let me tell you something, people,” he continues. “The only people Obama is not blaming is the politicians.”

“We make the politicians possible, because we continue to elect and reelect them. The politicians make it possible for bad cops to persist, because they continue to keep on the force the supervisors who employ policies and procedures that allow cops to engage in damnable behavior.”

Grayson also rejected the notion that this is a racial matter.

“It’s detrimental to our health, and it really doesn’t matter what your race is.”

It’s never enough. American taxpayers have surrendered billions and billions and billions of dollars to the social-justice-spender-in-chief. But it’s never, ever enough.



The latest paroxysm of urban violence, looting, and recriminations in Baltimore prompted President Obama on Tuesday to trot out his frayed Blame The Callous, Tight-Fisted Republicans card. After dispensing with an obligatory wrist-slap of toilet paper-and Oreo-filching “protesters” who are burning Charm City to the ground (he hurriedly changed it to “criminals and thugs” mid-word), the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize winner got down to his usual business: hectoring his political opponents and grousing that America hasn’t forked over enough money for him to make the “massive investments” needed to “make a difference right now.”

...In December 2014, the White House unveiled nearly $1 billion in new “investments” to “expand access to high-quality early childhood education to every child in America” from “birth and continuing to age 5.”

That’s all on top of the $6 billion government-funded national service and education initiative known as the SERVE America Act, which was enacted less than a month after the nearly $1 trillion stimulus with the help of a majority of Big Government Senate Republicans. The SERVE America Act included $1.1 billion to increase the investment in national service opportunities; $97 million for Learn and Serve America Youth Engagement Zones; and nearly $400 million for the Social Innovation Fund and Volunteer Generation Fund.

The “social innovation” slush fund was intended to “create new knowledge about how to solve social challenges in the areas of economic opportunity, youth development and school support, and healthy futures, and to improve our nation’s problem-solving infrastructure in low-income communities.” The biggest beneficiaries? Obama’s progressive cronies.

Apparently, the richly funded “social innovators” haven’t reached the looter-prone neighborhoods of Baltimore yet. But it’s not ideologically bankrupt Obama’s fault. It’s ours.
