Odeh is scheduled to appear in court April 25 in Detroit, where she plans to plead guilty to "unlawful procurement of naturalization" in a deal that will allow her to leave the United States to avoid up to 18 months in prison.

She had been scheduled to undergo another trial after a U.S. appeals court vacated her 2014 conviction, saying an expert witness should have been allowed to testify that she suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder from allegedly being tortured in prison when she gave the false answers.

The 69-year-old Palestinian activist was convicted in the 1969 supermarket bombing in Israel that killed two Hebrew University students.

On Monday, The Times reported that most of those deported by the Obama administration don’t fit the profile of serious criminals, threats to public safety, “the worst of the worst,” as Janet Napolitano, Mr. Obama’s first Homeland Security secretary, used to put it.

Far from it. “Two-thirds of the nearly two million deportation cases,” Ginger Thompson wrote, “involve people who had committed minor infractions, including traffic violations, or had no criminal record at all.”

...Hylton’s name is listed on the Women’s March website alongside prominent liberals like Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards, actress Gloria Steinem, filmmaker Michael Moore and CNN commentator Van Jones.

Hylton, along with three men and three other women, kidnapped 62-year-old real-estate broker Thomas Vigliarole and held him for ransom, before eventually killing him. Speaking about Hylton, New York City Detective William Spurling told Psychology Today: “I couldn’t believe this girl who was so intelligent and nice-looking could be so unemotional about what she was telling me she and her friends had done. They’d squeezed the victim’s testicles with a pair of pliers, beat him, burned him.”
