◼ Humboldt Republican women speaker to advocate for more women candidates
Murriel Oles, president of the California Federation of Republican Women, Northern Division, will speak at the Nov. 18 meeting of Humboldt Republican Women Federated.
Her topic, “Women in Numbers, Building the Team,” will center on the merit of members of HRWF running for office and the role to be played by supporting members of HRWF as their campaign teams. There will be time for a question and answer session.
Oles will also officiate at the installation of the club's new board: President Debbie Walker, First Vice President Margaret Stafford, Second Vice President Gwen Morris, Treasurer Mary Jerland, Recording Secretary Carol Del Biaggio and Director at Large Pat Murphy.
The meeting will take place at 445 Herrick Ave., Eureka. The buffet line forms at 11:30 a.m. and the meeting opens at noon.
Lunch price is $14.50 and speaker/beverage is $4. The attendance of community members is encouraged.
