Megyn Kelly Rips CAIR Spokesman: 'I'm Not Going to Let You Hijack This Segment'
◼ Fox News's Megyn Kelly clashed with CAIR again in a taped segment that aired Thursday night on The Kelly File. Arguing over the recent uproar at Brandeis University, Kelly ripped CAIR for suing its critics and trying to "silence" them. - Newsbusters
For those who haven't heard, Brandeis intended to honor human rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali at its graduation, but pulled its invitation after backlash over her criticism of Islam as anti-women. CAIR called her a "notorious Islamophobe." The organization's spokesman then defended its stance on Thursday night, but Kelly wouldn't have it.
"I'm not going to let you hijack this segment, Mr. Hooper. It's not going to happen," Kelly insisted after Hooper interrupted her. "Chuck Schumer came out and said, and I quote, 'CAIR, we know has ties to terrorism. Prominent members of CAIR's current leadership, also – excuse me – had intimate connections with Hamas.'"
Kelly accused the organization of playing the smear card against opponents:
"Your critics say that when you hear anything negative about you, you threaten a lawsuit. And the viewers should know that you have gone after and threatened Reader's Digest, the American Medical Association, U.S. News and World Report, Atlantic Monthly, the Dallas Morning News, Fox News – we did a segment on Honor Diaries just the other week. You demanded a retraction, which you're not getting. Every time you hear something you don't like, you try to shut down the message. Whereas here in America, we like speech. Good and bad."

Megyn Kelly Declares CAIR Is 'Not Getting' a Retraction for Covering Film on Islamic Women
◼ link - Newsbusters
When Karoluk asserted that “CAIR is actually a domestic organization, the biggest Muslim civil rights and advocacy group” in the nation, Goldstein countered by declaring:
They're a self-appointed group that claims to be a civil-rights group, but it's anything but.
CAIR has a systematic campaign to go around and target anybody who speaks publicly about the threat of militant Islam as Islamophobic time and time again. Shame on them for doing that.
Kelly then turned to Karoluk: “I still do not understand why calling attention to this problem that affects Muslim women would be objectionable to you. As a Muslim woman yourself, don't you want this to stop, and how do we make it stop if we don't shine a light on it?”
“Of course I want it to stop,” the CAIR representative responded, “and as I said, there are many Muslim women in organizations right here in the United States that are working on this issue.”
Goldstein then took the discussion in a different direction by asking Karoluk: “What's wrong with the people who are funding the movie because they're Jews?”
The human rights lawyer continued by stating: “What qualifies as being Islamophobic is raising awareness about Islamist terrorism and advocating for the human rights of Muslim women.”
Judging from the emotional debate regarding the documentary on Muslim women, CAIR can expect that not only will they not receive an apology from Megyn Kelly, but she is very likely to address the subject again -- and soon.

◼ Older Boston Suspect Made Two Trips to Dagestan, Visited Radical Mosque, Officials Say - TIME
According to a source close to the Russian security services who specializes in religious radicalism, Tsarnaev attended services at the mosque on Kotrova Street during both of the extended visits he made to Dagestan over the past two years. That is why Russia’s Federal Security Service, the agency better known as the FSB, sent a warning to the FBI in 2011 to be aware of Tsarnaev’s possible links to extremism.
In a statement on April 19, the FBI said it had received information from an unidentified “foreign government” that Tsarnaev was “a follower of radical Islam and a strong believer, and that he had changed drastically since 2010 as he prepared … to join unspecified underground groups.” In response, the FBI said it interviewed Tsarnaev and checked its records for relevant information, but “did not find any terrorism activity, domestic or foreign.”
◼ UNCLE: SEEDS OF BOSTON BOMBERS’ RADICALIZATION 'PLANTED RIGHT THERE IN CAMBRIDGE' - Ben Shapiro/Breitbart
On Tuesday, the Associated Press reported that in the years leading up to the devastating bombing attack on the Boston Marathon, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the older of the two bombing suspects, “fell under the influence of a new friend, a Muslim convert.” The mentor was known to Tamerlan’s family as “Misha,” and pushed Tamerlan to embrace the most extreme version of Islam. Tamerlan quickly dropped music, read information about 9/11 conspiracy theories, and bought into the notion that the Jews controlled world events, seeking out the anti-Semitic canard The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
◼ Why Muslims Kill - Sultan Knish
In the case of the Tsernaevs, the surface coverage, the endless rounds of interviews with friends and relatives, with anyone who ever met them or retweed them, is mandatory because it avoids the more difficult question of why they killed.
The better news outlets answer with convenient terms like "radicalization" or "self-radicalization" and much of the public, primed to react to meaningless political jargon as if it had meaning, will think that they understand. A radical, they know, is a bad person, except for a brief period when surfers and ninja turtles could use it and still be good people. They don't quite know why that is, but they also don't know why high debt is good for the economy or why Islam is a religion of peace....
Prisons are full of 300 pound men who beat their 90 pound wives to death in self-defense and spree killers who felt bullied and misunderstood and defended themselves with killing sprees. The kind of evil we see in movies, the serial killer who gleefully whisper about demonic pacts and the joy of killing, are a rarity. Even human monsters are human. They explain things in terms of their egos. They are always defending themselves against some form of oppression and looking for someone to sympathize with their outrage.
Muslim terrorists are no different. The Taliban just poisoned a girls school as part of their campaign to defend Afghanistan from women who can read and write. Hamas fired an anti-tank missile at an Israeli school bus in defense of Palestine. Tamerlan Tsarnaev put down a bomb next to an 8-year-old boy in defense of Islam....
Islam, as one of the great world religions, has a long history of needing to be defended against small boys, blind female poets and elderly cartoonists. Sometimes Muslims have to defend Islam against each other, the way they are now doing in Syria. Other times defending Islam requires demolishing its archeological sites, the way that the Saudis are doing. Either way defending Islam is difficult work.
