YOUR VOTE -- should you cast it -- carries special weight today

This is it. Election Day in Humboldt County. - The Times-Standard

...The Humboldt County Clerk/ Recorder's Office says that 67,450 of you are eligible to vote in today's election. Recent history says most won't.

Any one of you can help change that.

And so your vote -- should you cast it -- carries special weight today. Your voice -- should you raise it -- is sure to ring a little clearer. Many -- but by no means enough -- of your neighbors have already by now mailed in their ballots.

Today is your last chance to join them, to stand up and be counted.

Today, yours could be the vote that helps shape your home, your neighborhood, your county.

Schools, water, firefighting and sewage are at stake.

If you need to find your polling place, visit ◼ SmartVoter.org or call the county Clerk/Recorder's Office at 707-445-7481.
