NFRW Meets With NRCC about Republican Women Running for Office Next Year

On Tuesday, November 14, NFRW President Rae Chornenky and NFRW President-Elect Kathy Brugger attended a meeting with other female GOP activists at the National Republican Congressional Committee to discuss Republican women running for Congress in next year's elections. In attendance were representatives from the Susan B. Anthony List, Maggie's List, Rep. Diane Black's office, Concerned Women for America, and Burning Glass Consulting, a new consulting firm started by Katie Packer Gage, Mitt Romney's deputy campaign manager in 2012.

The topic of the meeting involved how few Republican women choose to run for Congress relative to both the number of Republican men who choose to run and the number of Democratic women who choose to run. The meeting was a brain-storming session on how to help each other and increase the number of Republican women running for Congress.
