Dominican prostitute: Sen. Bob Menendez ‘likes the youngest and newest girls’

In a little-noticed email published online Wednesday by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), a young Dominican woman wrote nine months ago that she slept with 59-year-old New Jersey Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez at a series of sex parties organized by Dr. Salomon Melgen, a longtime Menendez campaign donor. - David Martosko and Charles C. Johnson/Daily Caller

“That senator also likes the youngest and newest girls,” the woman wrote on April 21, 2002, according to an English translation provided to The Daily Caller by a native Spanish speaker.

“In the beginning he seemed so serious, because he never spoke to anyone, but he is just like the others and has just about the same tastes as the doctor, very refined. I think they were taking us more often to get us checked [medically] because of him.”

Menendez: I Reimbursed Donor Nearly $60G For Dominican Republic Trips

Sen. Robert Menendez’s office says he reimbursed a prominent Florida political donor $58,500 in recent months for the full cost of two of three trips Menendez took on the donor’s plane to the Dominican Republic in 2010.

There was no public disclosure.

“The senator paid for the two trips out of his personal account and no reporting requirements apply,” Menendez spokeswoman Tricia Enright said Wednesday night.

Details of Menendez’s trips emerged as his office said unsubstantiated allegations that the senator engaged in sex with prostitutes in the Dominican Republic are false.

Lautenberg calls Menendez controversy ‘a terrible tragedy’ - Aaron Blake/Washington Post

Sen. Bob Menendez’s (D-N.J.) New Jersey colleague has responded to the growing controversy surrounding the senator’s ties to a doctor who was recently raided, and he’s not exactly doing Menendez any favors....

“There a lot that’s said and covered, but I for one know Bob as a very capable United States senator, and I’m sorry to see him in this position,” Lautenberg said. “But I can’t give you anything more. Don’t want to. Don’t know to.”

Lautenberg later added he had not spoken to Menendez about the accusations but called them “devastating.”
“(He) has built an almost sterling reputation for a lot of years and our hope is that this, what we’re hearing, is not as it’s presented,” Lautenberg said. “I think Bob will survive this with his good work. This is a terrible tragedy. And we’re not yet sure what all of the facts are.”
