The presser was vintage Trump. Combative, oftentimes hilarious, and filled with deeply satisfying moments that sometimes happen when Trump is at his best, moments when stark truths are finally said out loud, and by the President of the United States, no less.



The event was advertised as something that was supposed to be about infrastructure, but it was obvious from the beginning that the president had any number of other things on his mind. It was just as obvious that the media was hoping to get a piece of him, to bait him. None of it worked. Trump appeared to enjoy every moment of the hostile back and forth. Moreover, he had three truths he wanted to communicate to the American people, and so that is exactly what he did and we are now a better country for it.

1. "Not all of those people were neo-Nazis."...
...In other words, Trump is breaking through the media narrative that instantly defines anyone opposed to tearing down confederate statues as a Nazi:

Those people — all of those people — excuse me. I've condemned neo-Nazis. I've condemned many different groups. But not all of those people were neo-Nazis, believe me. Not all of those people were White Supremacists, by any stretch. Those people were also there because they wanted to protest the taking down of a statue, Robert E. Lee.

And you take a look at some of the groups and you see — and you'd know it if you were honest reporters, which in many cases you're not, but many of those people were there to protest the taking down of the statue of Robert E. Lee.
2. "Are we going to take down statues to George Washington?" ...

3. "There was violence on both sides."
...This is, without question, the most important point the president made, and he made it repeatedly.

Post-Charlottesville, the MSM's shameless propaganda push, their audacious and coordinated attempt to write the culpability of Antifa out of Saturday's riot is not only Orwellian, it is (and this is by design) dangerous....
Trump's taking hell for it, but he is doing the only moral thing — telling the truth.

They Lied: PolitiFact Pulls 2014 'Mostly True' Rating of John Kerry's Claim of Eliminating Syrian Chemical Weapons



In a post about the recent chemical weapons attack in Syria, PolitiFact admitted, “The outcry leads us to revisit a 2014 claim from former Secretary of State John Kerry.”

“Kerry said in a television interview that in Syria, ‘we got 100 percent of the chemical weapons out.’ Syria had agreed in 2013 to an ambitious program to destroy its chemical stockpiles under international supervision, as part of a deal brokered by Russia,” they explained. “When Kerry spoke in July 2014, the process seemed far along. Based on reports from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons — which later won the Nobel Peace Prize for its efforts — we rated that claim Mostly True. There were caveats about incomplete information, but at the time, international experts said the claim largely held up.”

“Given recent events, we have pulled that fact-check (you can read an archived version here) because we now have many unanswered questions,” the fact-checking site declared. “We don’t know key details about the reported chemical attack in Syria on April 4, 2017, but it raises two clear possibilities: Either Syria never fully complied with its 2013 promise to reveal all of its chemical weapons; or it did, but then converted otherwise non-lethal chemicals to military uses. One way or another, subsequent events have proved Kerry wrong.”

PolitiFact is often heralded as a reliable and neutral fact-checking source by the mainstream media and political establishment, despite numerous revelations over the past few years that the site is largely biased towards the left-wing.

The Department of Justice redacted Islam and ISIS from the Orlando jihadi’s transcript. But even so, it is riddled with Islam. It reads like a Muslim prayer session. In other words, it is all he spoke of. His very first words are the Bismillah (Arabic: بسم الله‎‎, “In the name of Allah”), the Islamic prayer. It’s what terror-tied CAIR chants in every press conference and press release.

You’ll notice no mention of gays or hatred of gays – the motive Obama assigns to this Islamic slaughter.

COSTCO REMOVING D'SOUZA'S 'AMERICA' FROM SHELVES

The book, in this midterm election year, is a strong rebuttal of the progressive ideology behind President Obama’s policies, which have been supported by Costco co-founder and director Jim Sinegal, a major Democrat donor and a speaker at the 2012 Democratic National Convention that nominated the president. A Washington Post political reporter has noted Obama’s “romance” with the nation’s second-largest retailer.

At Amazon.com, D’Souza’s book, released June 2, is ranked No. 5 overall and No. 1 in Political Commentary and Opinion.

Costco has sold more than 3,600 copies of “America” nationwide, with about 700 copies sold last week as D’Souza’s film by the same name opened at more than 1,000 movie theaters nationwide.

But Costco’s book department issued the “pull-order,” requiring all Costco stores nationwide to remove the book, confirmed Scott Losse, an inventory control specialist in the book department at the Costco Wholesale corporate office in Issaquah, Washington, a suburb of Seattle....

This is junior high history stuff. Is America’s educational system so bad that the First Lady of the United States does not know that our founders were born in America? Or is it something else? Did anybody blink when she said it?

Did she actually mean that those who signed the Declaration of Independence and participated in the drafting of the Constitution were not born in America? Benjamin Franklin was born in Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and James Madison were born in Virginia. John Adams was born in Massachusetts. Surely she knows this. But maybe not.washinton Birthplace

George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison served as President of the United States. They had to have been born in America in order to qualify for the office.

Why would Greenpeace do such a thing, erasing a founding member?

It is likely because Dr. Patrick Moore has become a climate skeptic, and appeared in a skeptic film in 2007. From his Wikipedia page:

In 2005, Moore criticized what he saw as scare tactics and disinformation employed by some within the environmental movement, saying that the environmental movement “abandoned science and logic in favor of emotion and sensationalism.”[30] Moore contends that for the environmental movement “most of the really serious problems have been dealt with”, seeking now to “invent doom and gloom scenarios”.... He suggests they romanticise peasant life as part of an anti-industrial campaign to prevent development in less-developed countries, which he describes as “anti-human”.... Moore was interviewed in the 2007 film documentary The Great Global Warming Swindle, in which he expressed similar views. In 2007 The Guardian reported on his writings for the Royal Society arguing against the theory that mankind was causing global warming, noting his advocacy for the felling of tropical rainforests and the planting of genetically engineered crops.

And perhaps most infuriating to the greens, he advocates for improving the third world with the introduction of Golden Rice, which the GMO activists in Greenpeace see as an evil thing.

On December 28th, the Times published an article based on what it claimed was a massive, months-long investigation of the terrorist attack in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

The result of this so-called investigation? The retelling of the infamous lie that a YouTube video so enraged hundreds of Libyans that they stormed the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi and murdered four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens.

Never mind that these Libyans just happened to be so well trained and heavily armed that they could defeat American security forces, some of whom were retired Navy SEALs, or that they launched their tactical assault in several waves until they were ultimately successful.

Never mind either that leaders of this supposedly spontaneous Islamist flash mob would be overheard by U.S. intelligence bragging to their terrorist buddies about the attack.

No, you see, the Times interviewed some of the attackers who claimed – truthfully of course – that it was the video that inspired their murderous rage. Case closed?

Hardly.

President Barack Obama is a liar. Not a person who “misspoke,” as the New York Times editorial board ridiculously asserted last Sunday. His promise that if Americans liked their healthcare plan they could keep it — made on at least 23 separate, videotaped occasions — was not the ”half true” statement the equally corrupt politifact.com website contended it was. Nor did the president make a ”campaign pledge which did not hold up to the realities of governing,” as shameless TV host Bill Maher declared, before further noting it was a “moral complexity” he is “okay with ’cause I’m not twelve.” It was a bald-faced lie. And on at least one occasion in June of 2009, it included a completely unambiguous qualifier: “if you like your health-care plan, you will be able to keep your health-care plan, period.” (Italics mine). Yet Monday, in an Orwellian moment that provided the public with an unprecedented look at the president’s utter lack of credibility, Obama insisted he never made any such promises.

...Thankfully, it is an effort being undermined by revelation after revelation. On Monday, the AP revealed at least 3.5 million Americans have had their insurance policies cancelled so far.

Back in May 2012, everyone was talking about that graphic depiction of the benefits of various government programs. Remember?
Barack Obama has a new composite girlfriend, and her name is Julia. Her story is told in an interactive feature titled “The Life of Julia” on the Obama campaign website. Julia, who has no face, is depicted at various ages from 3 through 67, enjoying the benefits of various Obama-backed welfare-state programs.
"The Life of Julia" has come to be cited — somewhat humorously — for the proposition that the government has lured women away from men, into a dependent relationship with the government, and this has had various ill effects. But I want to take a new look at why the graphic used a female character. Using a female screened out the reality that males rely on government programs too.

Memory Hole: Vogue Disappears Adoring Profile of Assad's Wife

◼ May 10, 2011: Since Vogue published an exquisitely timed fawning profile of the "glamorous, young, and very chic" first lady of Syria Asma al-Assad in February, her husband has presided over the murder of more than 300 demonstrators and jailed more than 10,000 political prisoners in a bloody crackdown. Now Asma has fled to England and Vogue has tossed the profile down the memory hole. - Gawker

Where the "Rose of the Desert" was once found wrapped in a purple shawl on Vogue's web site, there's now just an "OOPS: The page you're looking for cannot be found" message, which is probably just as well for the magazine, which came in for relentless criticism over the story. It could just be part of the site's normal turnover of old content, but other stories from the February issue are still online. Calls to Vogue and to Joan Juliet Buck, the profile's author, were not immediately returned.

◼ Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, has disowned Bashar al-Assad's wife Asma in the wake of a highly complimentay article the magazine ran last year. - Telegraph

The 3,200-word profile, which was published in March 2011, carried the headline "A Rose in the Desert" and described the British-born Mrs Assad as "the freshest and most magnetic of first ladies." It went on to describe her walking "a determined swath cut through space with a flash of red soles," which was a reference to her Christian Louboutin heels.

According to the New York Times the article was part of a public relations offensive launched by the Assad regime, which included paying a US public relations firm $5,000 (£3,200) a month for acting as a point of liaison between Vogue and Mrs Assad....

The move came a week after the American journalist Barbara Walters said she "regretted" trying to help Sheherazad Jaafari, the Syrian leader's press aide, to get a job at CNN and a place at Columbia University.

Miss Jaafari had also been an intern at the public relations firm that liaised with Vogue on behalf of Mrs Assad.

“There is something very wrong when the sitting president refuses to divulge huge pieces of information about his background. What is he hiding? Maybe the “birthers” were a little extreme, but is there something wrong with this “manufactured candidate,” whose history remains sealed from public view? What is he hiding?

Could the “Hawaii birth certificate” be a forgery? Is there something much worse—like “sponsorship” by an unnamed special interest? I don’t know. I do know that the man in the White House now is an imposter. The only question is which kind of an imposter: an incompetent “pretender” or a genuine phony, a “Manchurian candidate,” who is a liberal, ½ black and ½ white, and an obvious Muslim sympathizer.

Will this campaign expose him as the imposter, and the pretender his behavior has revealed? Will it expose his hidden history and murky background. We know about his failures and mistakes.

If his clear frustration over having his immigration speech undercut by senators’ announcement of a bipartisan framework is any indication, he’s hellbent to claim the mantle on what he sees as legacy issues. And if the emerging makeup of his second-term cabinet is as clear of an indicator, he’s drawing a tight circle of loyalists even closer as he plunges ahead with his domestic and foreign policy agenda.

So what can be expected as Obama stands in the chamber before both houses of Congress Tuesday night?

Ready, aim, gun control: Obama’s party says that they’ve invited victims of gun violence to highlight their own legislative aims, but members who are allocating their one guest ticket in this way are filling a chamber full of people Obama can reference and point to during his address as he advocates for stricter gun laws. Dems are even splitting their tickets to fill the seats with gun victims. Rep. Gloria Negrete McLeod (D-Calif.) is bringing Christopher McDonnell, the father of 7-year-old Newtown victim Grace McDonnell, while Rep. Lois Frankel (D-Fla.) is bringing McDonnell’s wife, Lynn. “His presence at the president’s address this Tuesday will also serve as a powerful reminder that victims of gun violence are not just those who perish, but those who suffer from losing a loved one,” Negrete McLeod said.

Connecticut’s senators are expanding the guest list with Richard Blumenthal (D) bringing Newtown Chief Executive Officer Pat Llodra — a Republican, Blumenthal’s office stresses — and Chris Murphy (D) is bringing Newtown Detectives Jason Frank and Dan McAnaspie.

Rep. Steve Stockman (R-Texas), the shock-jock of the freshman class who has already called for Obama’s impeachment, has invited Ted Nugent as his guest. “I am excited to have a patriot like Ted Nugent joining me in the House Chamber to hear from President Obama,” said Stockman. “After the address I’m sure Ted will have plenty to say.” Meanwhile, Stockman will be live-tweeting the address with the hashtag #youlie — surely he should pay some royalties to Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.), who earned a formal rebuke from his House colleagues in 2009 after yelling “You lie!” to Obama during a joint session of Congress.

Yeah, I had to fix that article a bit: I’m a little surprised, though. Usually Real Clear Politics is admirably even-handed about these sorts of things. Maybe the author is new?

Exhibit A is the controversial video of Barack Obama praising and hugging radical Harvard law professor Derrick Bell. The media knew it existed four years ago and conspired with academia to hide it to get Obama elected.

"We hid this during the 2008 campaign," confessed Harvard law professor Charles Ogletree. PBS had it then, but cut both the audio and the hug in a report on Obama's Harvard days. The footage served as wallpaper. Now that Breitbart.com has put the entire video online, the major media have gone into damage-control mode for Obama.

PBS claims, disingenuously, "there's nothing new about the clip." NBC's Andrea Mitchell misled viewers by claiming Bell was "not a radical firebrand" but a "distinguished professor."

...They knew what he was about. Anybody who has read Bell's works knows he's militantly anti-white and anti-America. He didn't try to hide that, unlike his fans in the media today.

Bell was too radical even for Harvard, which sacked him, but not too radical for our president, who embraced him as a 30-year-old law student. And who then went on to indoctrinate his own law students in Bell's hate when he was a University of Chicago professor....

Relevance today? Obama's close relationship with Bell fits a pattern of radical associations that have carried over into his administration. Before dying, his old professor visited the White House at least twice, records show. And Bell's ideas show up in Justice Department policy, where black-on-white hate crimes and black intimidation of white voters are not prosecuted.
