Soros tried to kill 'highly effective' immigration enforcement program

The deportation program Donald Trump praised in his immigration speech Wednesday night is the same program that radical activists on George Soros’ payroll bragged earlier this year about killing.

The information about the Soros allies came in a hacked document posted on the DCLeaks website. (The information was contained in a 62-page document titled, “Open Society U.S. Programs Board Meeting, Montgomery, Alabama, May 4-6, 2016.”)

Trump, the GOP presidential candidate, vowed at a Phoenix rally to restore the Secure Communities program, which he called "highly successful."

Trump backer Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) complained last year that the Obama administration was ending the program in order to clear the way for amnesty.....

Democrats: We’ll Block DHS Funds Until Boehner Surrenders

Top Democrats said Feb. 23 they will hold the homeland security budget hostage until the GOP’s House caucus agrees to quit its popular anti-amnesty efforts. - Daily Caller

“If we are going to avoid a government shutdown on the Department of Homeland Security, we need a commitment from Speaker Boehner that we have a bipartisan, bicameral approval to end this deadlock,” Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin told reporters during a Tuesday press conference in the Senate.

Durbin spoke shortly after the Senate’s GOP Majority Leader Mitch McConnell appeared to submit to the Democrats’ demands that the DHS 2015 budget not curb spending on the president’s November amnesty.

Democrats have filibustered the House-passed DHS budget bill four times just to block the anti-amnesty language.

McConnell agreed Feb. 22 to allow separate votes on a toothless DHS budget bill, and a bill that would curb Obama’s amnesty plans.

That’s a complete victory for the Democrats, because McConnell’s plan would allow them to kill the anti-amnesty bill, while also approving the separated DHS funding bill.

But McConnell’s surrender isn’t enough for Democrats.

They also want Boehner to give up the anti-amnesty fight even though almost 90 percent of the GOP base opposes the amnesty.

“All eyes are on Speaker Boehner,” Sen. Chuck Schumer said during the press conferenc

Obama amnesty creates loophole for illegal immigrants to vote in elections

Driver’s licenses, social security numbers facilitate improper registration, officials warn - Stephen Dinan/Washington Times

President Obama’s temporary deportation amnesty will make it easier for illegal immigrants to improperly register and vote in elections, state elections officials testified to Congress on Thursday, saying that the driver’s licenses and Social Security numbers they will be granted create a major voting loophole....

Democrats disputed that it was an issue at all, saying Mr. Obama’s new policy, which could apply to more than 4 million illegal immigrants, doesn’t change anything in state or federal law....

According to the CBO, Obama's amnesty will cost taxpayers $8.8 billion. How does he plan to pay for it?

White House To Put DHS At Center Of Budget Fight - Conn Carroll/Townhall

President Obama will officially unveil his 2016 budget at the Department of Homeland Security Monday, making the funding of the agency the centerpiece of his administrations immediate fiscal priorities....

Unlike the rest of the federal government which has been fully funded through the end of September, funding for DHS is set to expire at the end of February. Republicans chose a shorter funding term for the departments as part of an effort to push back against Obama's November executive action on immigration which could grant up to 4 million illegal immigrants temporary amnesty over the next two years.

A Congressional Budget Office letter released Thursday estimated that 1.5 million illegal immigrants will take advantage of Obama's amnesty program through 2017. That same document also estimated that illegal immigrants granted amnesty by Obama will pay just $5.2 billion in income taxes through 2025, while consuming more than $10.2 billion in tax credits. Factoring in other spending programs, CBO estimates that Obama's amnesty programs will cost taxpayers $8.8 billion on net through 2025.

The letter also notes that amnestied immigrants will pay $17 billion in Social Security payroll taxes through 2025, but they will receive far more in Social Security payments when they retire then what they paid into the system. The White House previously acknowledged in December that illegal immigrants amnestied by Obama would be eligible for Social Security benefits.

(Josh) Earnest did not say if Obama's budget would identify how the administration planned to pay for the increased spending caused by his amnesty programs.

Rep. Duffy Challenges Costello With CNN's Own Poll on Amnesty, Her Own Words

link - Newscasters

REP. SEAN DUFFY, (R), MEMBER, HOUSE BUDGET COMMITTEE: Carol, remember during the shutdown a year and a half ago, you talked about the power of the purse. Don't use funding of the government – you said use the power of the purse in these fights. And per your own prior questions to me, we're using the power of the purse to say, let's defend the homeland – but to think that you're going to come to Congress and say, I didn't include you in this executive amnesty, but I want you to fund it? The President is out to lunch thinking that we're going to do that, and if he wants to hold the security of the U.S. hostage for executive amnesty – which, I would argue, is unconstitutional...he's not on the side of the American people. Your own poll at CNN says that the American people agree with us – that the President should go through the Congress, the duly elected representatives of our states and our districts to get this done the right way.

The House of Representatives Dropped Its First Bombshell On Obama’s Executive Amnesty

SPEAKER BOEHNER QUOTES ALL 22 TIMES OBAMA HAS SAID HE COULD NOT DO EXEC. AMNESTY - Caroline May/Breitbart

...In a pointed speech directed squarely at the president’s actions, Boehner quoted each of the 22 times Obama has said he did not have the authority to do what he eventually did: unilaterally change the nation’s immigration laws.

“We are dealing with a president who has ignored the people, has ignored the Constitution, and even his own past statements,” Boehner said. “In fact, on at least 22 occasions he said didn’t have the authority to do exactly what he did.”

Boehner says the midterm elections were a signal from the American people that they want Congress to stand up to Obama and hold him accountable for his actions....

The vote also overturns a a directive from 2012 that safeguarded immigrants who illegally came to the United States as children.

Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) spoke on the House floor to praise the legislation, which had a surprisingly large amount of support from moderate Republicans.

FEDERAL JUDGE STRIKES BLOW AT OBAMA EXECUTIVE AMNESTY

U.S. District Court opinion out this morning that finds Obama’s immigration executive action exceeds the proper understanding of “prosecutorial discretion”: - STEVEN HAYWARD/Powerline
District court declares Obama immigration action unconstitutional - Jonathan H. Adler/Washington Post
Earlier Tuesday, a federal court in Pennsylvania declared aspects of President Obama’s executive actions on immigration policy unconstitutional.

According to the opinion by Judge Arthur Schwab, the president’s policy goes “beyond prosecutorial discretion” in that it provides a relatively rigid framework for considering applications for deferred action, thus obviating any meaningful case-by-case determination as prosecutorial discretion requires, and provides substantive rights to applicable individuals. As a consequence, Schwab concluded, the action exceeds the scope of executive authority.

This is the first judicial opinion to address Obama’s decision to expand deferred action for some individuals unlawfully present in the United States.
BREAKING: Federal judge finds Obama amnesty is unconstitutional - Stephen Dinan/Washington Times
A federal judge has found parts of President Obama’s new deportation amnesty to be unconstitutional, issuing a scathing memo Tuesday accusing him of usurping Congress’s power to make laws, and dismantling most of the White House’s legal reasoning for circumventing Congress.
The full 38-page opinion is here.
