Ground game...

For Midterms, Betting on Feet and Good Apps - New York Times

The foot soldiers in the battle for control of the Senate come well armed. With data-infused smartphones and tablets in hand, they have an unprecedented amount of information about the potential voters they are trying to persuade and more money than ever in a midterm election to do it.

...With the political tide against them, Democrats’ last chance to hold their Senate majority comes down to a vigorous get-out-the-vote effort. But the fight has changed. Republicans, outflanked by a superior Democratic turnout operation in the past two presidential elections, have been spending tens of millions of dollars to improve data collection to achieve a rough parity....

The Top Five Priorities of the GOP

From technology to changes in the primary calendar, the GOP sent a message at their summer meeting last week in Boston that they have an ambitious agenda and want to do things differently. - ABC

Here are the five biggest priorities of Republican Party.

1. Technology
2. Outreach
3. Minorities and Younger Voters
4. The Presidential Primary Calendar
5. Debates

Joe Nosef, the chairman of the Mississippi GOP, said he is "pleased that the party is aggressively advocating for both a fair and reasonable debate process."

"The seemingly endless circular firing squad during the primary process in 2012 was clearly not in the best interest of our party," Nosef said. "We can have a process that provides for robust debate of the issues without severely damaging our eventual nominee in the process."

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus today launched an initiative to grow the Republican Party and improve future Republican campaigns.

WASHINGTON - The effort, known as the Growth and Opportunity Project, will be chaired by five GOP leaders and is charged by Priebus with initially reviewing past practices and also making critical recommendations for the future in these eight key areas: 1) campaign mechanics and ground game; 2) messaging; 3) fundraising; 4) demographic partners and allies; 5) third party groups; 6) campaign finance issues; 7) presidential primaries; and 8) lessons learned from Democratic campaign tactics.

The group will reach out to hundreds of individuals including RNC Members, grassroots activists, donors, elected officials, community leaders and other important partners to gain insight and help the Republican Party form a solid path going forward. These leaders will be involved in one or more of these critical areas.

The Growth and Opportunity Project is co-chaired by five prominent Republican leaders:

Henry Barbour, National Committeeman from Mississippi
Zori Fonalledas, National Committeewoman from Puerto Rico
Glenn McCall, National Committeeman from South Carolina
Sally Bradshaw, Veteran senior strategist in Florida and national politics
Ari Fleischer, Former White House Press Secretary

They will report their findings to Chairman Priebus and make recommendations for a long-term strategy for the future.

"The Growth and Opportunity Project will recommend a plan to further ensure Republicans are victorious in 2013, 2014, 2016 and beyond," said Chairman Priebus. "I've appointed a talented group of individuals to study eight key areas, and I look forward to working with these outstanding Republicans as they conduct rigorous analysis and engage in important conversations. The work of the Growth and Opportunity Project will be critical as we move forward as a Party and take our message to every American."

If You’re Thinking of Volunteering, Do It

Locally: we're walking precincts Saturday, Nov. 3. Meet at the Humboldt GOP Office at 9:30 am. Call 442-2259, let us know if you can help. We also need poll watchers on election day - and teams to wave signs on election day. You can also make calls to voters in swing states ◼ (Super Easy Calls for Mitt Romney - call from home)

In Which I Prostrate Myself Before You And Beg Part 2 - BenK/Ace Of Spades

This is it. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday is all that stands between us and a second Obama term....

You can ...make calls ...If you don't want to leave your home, but you are willing to make calls then do it from home. Find out how here. ◼ (Super Easy Calls for Mitt Romney - call from home)

It is not enough to vote and donate in this election. You have to do something. It is close. Romney is either slightly up, tied, or slightly down in Iowa, Colorado, Nevada, Wisconsin, Ohio, New Hampshire, Michigan, Minnesota and Pennsylvania. If you live in one of those states you have no excuse to be sitting on your duff this weekend. Your time is the most valuable asset you can offer for the campaign.

If you are in any of those state and can volunteer to poll watch, then please click the link in the sidebar and volunteer to poll watch. This is especially true if you are in a large county. If you are not in a swing state, they may not call you back. All of their efforts are focused on the close races.

They need people to watch polls to help prevent fraud. If you live in Cleveland, Las Vegas, Denver, Boulder, etc, then you need to poll watch to help prevent fraud. Those living in Republican leaning counties need to poll watch and work strike list to help turnout the vote.

We're winning with independents, but there are far more registered Democrats than Republicans. We're at a natural disadvantage because we are fewer in number. We have to outwork them if we want to win.

Please, do something to help.

DOOM ANTIDOTE: Today’s your last chance to join the Romney Election Day Task Force and be part of the historic defeat of Obama and the Left!

Join America's Comeback Team and beat the Left at GOTV ground game for the first time in history - Kevin Dujan/Hillbuzz

Today is your very last chance to join the Romney Election Day Task force and become part of the historic defeat of Obama and the Left in a very big and important way. ◼ You can apply to the task force HERE… and in a day or so you will be contacted by the Romney campaign and assigned a role in the GOTV (Get Out the Vote) efforts for Election Day.

Why this matters and is actually so groundbreaking:

There are many cliches we hear repeated over and over and OVER again by the Ministry of Truth that is the national media (Minitru, for short) every election…and the most irritating one has long been that “Democrats have an impressive ground game and GOTV efforts”. For years, I’d hear that and my blood would boil because I’d think “What the heck is wrong with Republicans that they can’t get their stupid act together and do this better than the cat-herders of the Left?”. Well, apparently it took an accomplished and proven manager like Mitt Romney to get the GOP in gear because they are CRUSHING the Left on ground game this year.

...Mitt Romney really proved to us that he deserved to be the nominee this year because man alive what his campaign is pulling off here is INCREDIBLE. This is the most organized and well-run campaign EVER. They’ve finally made it easy for people to help in ways suited to them FROM HOME…and this Election Day Task Force identifies people’s strengths instantly and then finds the best way to utilize everyone. If you are in a state that’s competitive, then you might be assigned to work a polling place using your iPhone app to send real time info to the Romney campaign (including reporting any funny business you see Democrats engaged in). If you’re not in a swing state or a must-win state, you could be assigned to make calls to get people to the polls. I think those who are willing to drive people to vote can hook up with Romney campaign offices through this Task Force as well…and there are things to do even if you can’t spare the entire day on November 6th. Whatever time you have to give, and whatever strengths and talent YOU bring to the table, the Romney campaign can use YOU for GOTV efforts.

Just think about the magnitude of this....

We have less than five weeks until Election Day, and we need your help over the next month to help us get out the vote for Republicans across the country.

Here's how YOU can help:

Make sure you and your friends are registered to vote - Many states have voter registration deadlines approaching quickly. Check out our ◼ Facebook application to get started today and share with friends.

Vote early or by mail - Check with your local election office to vote early or by mail. If you have received an absentee ballot make sure to fill it out and turn it in as soon as possible!

Visit a local Victory Center and help get out the vote - Visit your local Republican Victory Center or Party HQ and help us reach out to voters in the area. ◼ (In Humboldt County, call 442-2259, or stop by 311 5th Street in Eureka. We have Romney, Emken and Roberts yard signs and bumper stickers)

Make 10 quick phone calls to battleground voters - The Social Victory Center also has a ◼ phone from home tool that allows you to make calls right from your home. These calls are quick, easy, and extremely important in helping to get out the vote.

The volunteer efforts that you make over the next month - from knocking on doors to talking to neighbors - will be vital to our success in November.

Will you help us win?

Co-Chairman, Republican National Committee

41 MILLION TEA PARTY SUPPORTERS SET TO VOTE

The Tea Party is regularly ridiculed and declared "dead" by the mainstream press and their elitist allies in Washington and Hollywood. Not surprisingly, when Tea Partiers show up and rally by the thousands, they get all but ignored, while 30 Occupy Wall Street crazies in masks will always get wall-to-wall coverage and admiration. - Dustin Hawkins/Breitbart

TV shows and movies take cheap shots at Tea Party conservatives, often linking them to murder-of-the-week cases on insipid crime procedurals or dismissing them as “birthers.” But a new Associated Press poll shows tea party supporters may have the last laugh in November.

The AP/GFK poll shows that 31% of likely voters consider themselves Tea Party supporters. With 131 million votes cast in the 2008 elections, that translates into an incredible voting bloc of 41 million Tea Party supporters waiting to cast ballots.

These voters have already made their voices heard in Wisconsin earlier this year, as well as in Republican primaries in Texas and Nebraska.

That 31% of likely voters figure is greater than the 19% who described themselves as either strongly or somewhat liberal. Surprisingly, liberals have escaped media characterization as being a small, fringe-like group with little power or influence. At 19% of likely voters, self-described liberals would have a turnout of 25 million voters, some 16 million fewer voters than the Tea Party.

College Republicans Launch GOTV Program

The College Republican National Committee on Monday is set to launch “Operation Red November,” a $2 million voter turnout program focused on the presidential contest as well as gubernatorial and Congressional races. - David M. Drucker/Roll Call

The effort calls for dispatching 63 paid, full-time field staff to 25 states to boost support among younger voters for Republicans running in 111 targeted races. The plan, overseen by a national field director and four regional field directors, has set a goal of 6 million live voter contacts in 15 presidential battlegrounds, 16 Senate races, 73 House races and seven gubernatorial contests.

“The CRNC’s quarter million members provide the boots on the ground for the Republican Party. We will utilize our existing membership and our trained field staff to mobilize a youth effort that has never been seen before in our organization’s history,” CRNC Chairman Alex Schriver said in statement included on the press release outlining the group’s effort.

“We’ve specifically chosen battleground states where winning the youth vote will make or break this election,” he added.

Here is a map of party control state by state:

at Ace of Spades
Turnout, Turnout, Turnout: The "Superiority" of the Democrat's GOTV is No More.

Always watch the WOW. Republicans as a unified front turnout out more voters than the Democrats could even hope to do, expanding Walker's margin over 2010 in both the raw margin and percentage of the overall vote, despite increased turnout in Milwaukee and Dane Counties.

This is the model and the end result of total unity across the party- you had the establishment GOP funneling money and manpower into the race under the RNC and the RGA, you had grassroots manpower courtesy hundreds of TEA party groups in the state and from across the country, coordinated phone-banking and explosive use of social media, efficient and effective absentee ballot distribution, immediate response to Democratic attacks, effective dismantling of false polling and "momentum" memes by those on the right inside and out of the traditional media, everyone focused on one single goal: keep Governor Walker in Wisconsin.

The Democrats' "superiority" in social media, in GOTV, in WINNING is as big a lie as the Lake poll showing the race "all tied up". The results last night make that glaringly obvious. If we attack from a united front, we win.

The question now is not can we do this in November, but do we want to. If the answer is a resounding yes, that we really want this, then it isn't a question how the Presidential race will turn out. DWS bragged this was a "test-run" for November.

You're damn right it is.

4 Days until the Primary! Ladies, this is it! We are down to the wire.

With only 4 days left until the primary election, we want all of our Republican Women working hard to get Republicans through to the general election. With this new “top two” primary election, we must work even harder to make sure our candidates are elected. Find a local precinct walk or phone bank this weekend and GET OUT THE VOTE! (HRWF note: Check with local campaigns, see who is phone banking. Many candidates are putting out a strong to-the-finish effort.)

Remember to get to the polls on Tuesday, June 5th! If you vote by mail, make sure to send in your ballot TODAY, Friday June 1st! If you don’t get to mail your ballot today, you can drop off your completed ballot at your polling place. Make sure your voice is heard and VOTE!

NO on PROPS 28 and 29!

Our CFRW Voting Body recommends NO votes for both Prop 28 and Prop 29. In recent Capitol Updates we have included talking points and rationale for our NO position on both propositions. Click HERE (scroll down) for more information on both Prop 28 and 29. Please make sure you are spreading your knowledge about the devious nature of both of these propositions. Props 28 and 29 were written to intentionally confuse the voter. Prop 28 claims that it would reduce the amount of time that a legislator is in office, from 14 years to 12 years. But what the proposition actually does is increase the amount of time a legislator can spend in one office, meaning they could be a senator for 12 years, an assembly member for 12 years, or a combination of both. Prop 28 is backed by big labor unions because the unions would be able to put a legislator in office then control them for 12 years in one office instead of spending money on different elections or reelections to secure their support. Prop 29 is a 5 cent tax increase per cigarette, which might not seem like a big deal, especially to non-smokers. But what Prop 29 really does is create a 9 member committee of political appointees that has the power to allocate the funds collected from this new cigarette tax. The fact is that not all of the funds collected from Prop 29 have to be spent on cancer research or even spent here in California. It should come as no shock that current cigarette tax funds get misused (click here for Sac Bee article).

Props 28 and 29 are bad for California. Tell everyone you know to VOTE NO!
