Trump has the high road, once again. Haha. Baited the Elitists, who are now defending disgracing the flag.

Tuesday, December 20, 2016

The news that got Trump elected wasn't made-up stories pushed by Twitter trolls, it was the stories Americans knew were true that the mainstream media and DC Establishment declared fake and refused to report.

There are dozens of examples, the most obvious being Islam and terrorism.

In the days after a self-declared jihadi slaughtered 49 people in a self-described mission for ISIS at the Pulse night club ("I pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi may Allah protect him, on behalf of the Islamic State"), I could hear my talk-radio callers turning into Trump supporters before my eyes … er "ears."

As the media twisted themselves into knots to present an utterly-false story line about a self-hating gay man, Donald Trump was attacked for tweeting out almost immediately that it was a "radical Islamic terror." Being Trump, he did so in a self-congratulatory way that was off-putting to many, but he was also attacked for stating the obvious about the deadliest Islamist attack on US soil since 9/11.

But as obnoxious as Trump's tweet may seem, compare it to Hillary Clinton's in the wake of the Paris attack months earlier: "Muslims … have nothing to do whatsoever with terrorism."

Many Americans thought to themselves "Trump may be a kook … but he's never said anything that stupid!"

Shock Poll: Trump's Black Support Grows 6X After Milwaukee Appeal

The upswing in support for Trump–more than 500 percent above his low less than a week previous–comes after the New York City developer’s address Tuesday in the Milwaukee suburb of West Bend, Wisconsin. In that speech, Trump made his most direct play for African-American support in the campaign:
We reject the bigotry of Hillary Clinton which panders to and talks down to communities of color and sees them only as votes, not as individual human beings worthy of a better future. She doesn’t care at all about the hurting people of this country, or the suffering she has caused them. The African-American community has been taken for granted for decades by the Democratic Party. It’s time to break with the failures of the past – I want to offer Americans a new future.
The speech itself was a risk because the Trump campaign had planned the event before Sunday’s riots less than an hour south in the black neighborhoods of Wisconsin’s largest city. The main theme of the speech was law and order and the need to back up law enforcement in a climate where police officers are now tagged as the enemy of the common people.

Trump took that straight on:
The main victims of these riots are law-abiding African-American citizens living in these neighborhoods. It is their jobs, their homes, their schools and communities which will suffer as a result. There is no compassion in tolerating lawless conduct. Crime and violence is an attack on the poor, and will never be accepted in a Trump Administration.
Writing for NetRightDaily, the news website for Americans for Limited Government, Robert Romano points out that given the apparent success of Trump’s appeal to black voters, he now has the formula to appeal to other communities that are the foundation of the Democratic Party’s voter turnout model. Roman writes:
In principle, if Trump were to deftly deliver the same message again to a wider audience, he could begin to consolidate a growing base of supporters among blacks that did not exist three days ago. Could he grow that base?

Because, if the result were to be replicated in cities across America, November might not even be close.

Who saw this coming?

Apparently, after a generation of failure in America’s inner cities, the events in Milwaukee have caused a huge crack in the traditional Democrat coalition that has included blacks since the Great Depression — and Trump is exploiting it by promising to restore law and order. He blamed Democrat one-party rule in the cities on the problems facing blacks today.

And it resonated.

Trump Blasts Obama for Speech on Orlando Attack: He ‘Was More Angry at Me Than He Was at the Shooter’

...What a contrast with Hillary’s speech today, which focused on reinforcing political correctness – attacking so-called assault rifles, as though guns and not fanatics were the problem, and emphasizing the importance of not alienating Muslims by acknowledging that a large and growing segment of the Islamic world is at war with us. What contempt for Muslims who are also victims of Islamic terror!...

The speech was specific, detailed, and on the money. Trump showed how strategic securing the border is, how important stopping immigration from terror zones like Syria is, and how deadly political correctness has become. Political correctness – which transforms the Islamic world, which has a lot to answer for, from aggressors into innocent victims – functions as a shield for Islamic terrorists, and handcuffs law-abiding citizens prompting them not to report suspicious activities by Muslims for fear of being called racist.

Trump was especially courageous (and politically incorrect) in pointing out that the Muslim communities in which the terrorists operate know what is going on but don’t say anything. What a contrast with Hillary’s speech today, which focused on reinforcing political correctness – attacking so-called assault rifles, as though guns and not fanatics were the problem, and emphasizing the importance of not alienating Muslims by acknowledging that a large and growing segment of the Islamic world is at war with us. What contempt for Muslims who are also victims of Islamic terror!

After seeing the president’s comments, Trump critiqued Obama’s “level of anger.”

“The level of anger … that’s the kind of anger he should have for the shooter and these killers that shouldn’t be here,” Trump said.

Trump added that “many people” agreed with his perspective, paraphrasing a political pundit he saw on Fox News Tuesday who suggested the Republican candidate was getting under Obama’s skin.

“Nobody at the end of that speech understood anything other than, ‘Boy does he hate Donald Trump,’” the Republican said.

Glenn Greenwald: Here’s the truth about Edward Snowden

“The debate about his motives has always confounded me,” Grennwald said. “Put yourself in Edward Snowden’s place, where you decided you would take tens of found of top secret documents from one of the most secretive agencies of world’s most powerful government because you think there’s serious wrongdoing hidden from your fellow citizens.”

“You could sell it in secret to pretty much any intelligence agency on the planet and enrich yourself for the rest of your life without anyone knowing. If you were intending to harm your country or government, you could pass it secretly to adversaries of your government without anyone knowing about it,” Greenwald said.

“He could have just taken it all and put it up on the Internet, if his goal were to have this indiscriminate publication and harm the country,” Greenwald said.

“Instead, he did what you would want a whistle-blower in that circumstance to do; to meet with journalists who work with some of the largest news outlets in the West and say I am giving you this material, but based on promise that you will be extremely meticulous about going through every word of it and not publishing anything that can harm people, but instead only things necessary to inform the public debate,” Greenwald said.

“So you can have different views on surveillance policy, the extent to which government should be spying on us, but I think it is hard to call into question his motives were anything what he says they were and patriotic, and he genuinely believed if the government is going to spy on us indiscriminately, without any evidence of wrongdoing, we ought to at least know about that,” Greenwald said.

...he already proved to you, given the choice between a comfortable life and sanding up for what he believes is right, he will choose stand up for what he believes is right and give up a comfortable life. He already had a comfortable life he gave up,” Greenwald said.

If you were to re-write his speech into its essentials it might sound like this. “Imagine if we could tell all the stuffed shirts in the media to buzz off. Imagine if we could tell the busybodies to butt out our lives. Imagine if we could actually tell the IRS we want to keep our money. Imagine if we could the tell the NSA you need a warrant to tap my phone. Imagine if we didn’t have to feel guilty of being Americans.

William Cruz - A fellow named William Tell wandered into the village and did the unthinkable. He refused to bow before the hat. - Richard Fernandez/PJMedia
Of course Cruz put it more cannily then that, but that was the message. We can continue.

“But you don’t have to imagine because I’m doing it right now. I am standing right here, committing what is accounted political suicide saying every damned thing you ever felt like saying but couldn’t. I’m on YouTube giving every bit of lip you were afraid to give for fear you might lose your job. Do you see that hat over there my friend? I’m going to knock it down. All I am asking you to do is take out your cellphones and punch in this number and by that ever so negligible act, join in the fray!”

Yippee. There’s not a few who would rise to their feet under the sting of that message and bang their palms together not out of the love of Ted Cruz, but under the impetus of shame. Shame that it took so long for someone to say what was obvious; shame that they hadn’t said it themselves.

The intellectual establishment has predictably taken the bait. Bearded so openly, they have sneered and they snorted and cast aspersions down like ordure from their high towers upon the rabble beneath. That’s exactly the expected response and they’ve only confirmed Cruz’s message. By and by the worst of these taunts will be withdrawn by canny media analysts who understand the trap as laid, but the damage is done. Ted Cruz wanted the aristocracy to show its upturned face and that, it has done. KEEP READING

As America was adrift in a malaise during the Carter administration, so America is now adrift and absent during the Obama administration. But, Netanyahu leads with the elegance of clarity and with the forcefulness of conviction.

The Truth In What Netanyahu Didn't Say To Congress - John Nantz/Townhall

What Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu didn’t say during his speech before Congress last Tuesday was profound. A speech of this importance is particularly scrutinized not so much after it’s delivered as it is by those crafting it beforehand. Every word is measured, punctuation adjusted for effect, and pauses analyzed with reference to the dramatic. The doltish mainstream media pounced, predictably, on Netanyahu’s speech calling it hawkish, premature, and without novelty; but the left missed the most delicious aspect of Netanyahu’s repudiation of Obama because it was skillfully nuanced and robed in silence....

Netanyahu closed his Reaganesque speech by thanking America for standing with Israel. He thanked those present in the House chamber for standing with Israel. But, this is where Netanyahu’s silence becomes most profound. He did not single out President Barack Hussein Obama as standing with Israel. This omission could only be purposeful in a speech crafted with such meticulous care. In the end, the Prime Minister did propose something new. He proposed that Obama actively oppose the Iranians in their quest for the bomb, and that Obama join him in leading the free world in the Middle East. Obama has shifted the balance of influence in the region to favor the Iranian regime of Islamic tyranny. Netanyahu knows that Obama is not interested in actively promoting democracy in the Middle East, so he said plainly that Israel would go it alone if necessary. It seems that on Tuesday, the world was introduced to the new leader of the free world—Benjamin Netanyahu. As America was adrift in a malaise during the Carter administration, so America is now adrift and absent during the Obama administration. But, Netanyahu leads with the elegance of clarity and with the forcefulness of conviction.

“Mr. President, Mr. President, there are tens of thousands of Anne Franks right now being brutalized. Why don't you do something about it?"

Reading a passage from The Diary of Anne Frank – written by the Jewish girl who died in a Nazi labor camp -- author and talk-radio host Mark Levin said the Islamic State “genocide” in Syria and Iraq is particularly a war on “little girls and women,” and he called upon President Obama to do something about the “tens of thousands of Anne Franks right now being brutalized” by the Islamists. - CNS

Levin also stressed that Obama, like British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain who appeased the Nazis in the run-up to World War II, was “a patsy for Islamic terrorism” as Chamberlain “was a patsy for the Third Reich.”

“I want to just -- a couple of sentences from Anne Frank's diary because, you know, Sean, this is a war really on little girls and women,” said Levin. “That's what's taking place, the brutalization in front of our faces.”

...Earlier in the program, Hannity asked Levin about former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s comment from earlier in the week when he said, ‘I do not believe this president loves America.’

Asked for his reaction, Levin said, “Rudy's exactly right. And I would add -- and I've said this many years on my radio program -- when somebody says they want to fundamentally transform America, well, then you must not love America. It's like saying I'm going to fundamentally transform my wife, or my girlfriend. That means you must not love your wife or your girlfriend.”

“Obama has shown no indication that he loves the Constitution,” said Levin. “He never talks about capitalism. He's always bringing up the past. He's always picking at scabs. Even now, he's a patsy for Islamic terrorism! Half of his speeches are about how terrible America is and America shouldn't react in a negative way.” KEEP READING

MATTERA’S CONFRONTATION WITH REID PIVOTS CRANKY SENATOR TO RETIREMENT

Former Human Events editor and the current brains and brawn behind The Daily Surge Jason Mattera is a fearless journalist–operating in a town where other journalists sprinkle fear on their morning Corn Flakes. - Neil W. McCabe/HUMAN EVENTS

Mattera’s video of his confrontation with Senate Majority Leader Sen. Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) is an example of his taking on the people in power and asking what no one else will ask, face-to-face.

In the video, released to coincide with his new book “Crapitalism,” illustrates nicely how comfortable Reid and the Democrats have become basking in the warm glow a supportive press. When the goons in Reid’s protection detail rough up the reporter asking how Reid became a wealthy man, while spending his adult life as a public servant, the majority leader does not turn around to call off his dogs.

Rather, he keeps shuffling along, not even turning to see what the noise is about as one goon shoves Mattera up against a wall.

Oh, the alley where this took place? Actually, it was a hallway in the U.S. Capitol.

HOW BREITBART NEWS STOPPED THE PRESIDENT'S AMNESTY POWER GRAB

In an interview with Chuck Todd of NBC News' Meet the Press, President Barack Obama blamed the crisis of unaccompanied minor children at the border for prompting his decision to break his promise to use executive action to grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants by the summer's end. - Joel Pollak/Breitbart

... “The truth of the matter is that the politics did shift midsummer because of that problem,” Obama said, in an interview to air Sunday.

Obama's reversal has infuriated amnesty activists, who feel betrayed and are vowing to use protest and civil disobedience to press their case. It has also outraged conservatives, who regard Obama's planned appropriation of executive powers as unconstitutional, and who regard his decision as a nakedly political calculation designed to save troubled Democrats. Yet Obama is correct: "the politics did shift" because of the illegal alien children.

And Breitbart News did more than any outlet to draw attention to the problem--not just that children and teens were crossing the border in unprecedented numbers, but that they were being warehoused in extremely tough conditions at Border Patrol facilities, where agents were struggling to manage a humanitarian crisis brought on, many felt, by the Obama administration's own policies and loose talk about amnesty for illegal immigrants.

On June 5, Breitbart News' Brandon Darby, editor of Breitbart Texas, broke the story--with exclusive images...

The photographs soon became a national sensation. The story was picked up by rival outlets--not conservative news sites alone, but liberal sites like the Huffington Post and mainstream media outlets as well. The images of gaunt, exhausted, desperate children and mothers crowded into cells shocked the nation--and brought hordes of reporters from network and cable television news to the Texas border to document more of the story.

The reporters of Breitbart Texas did not stop there. They continued to lead the way in exploring and describing the arduous journey that the children had made, and the deadly hazards that awaited them even after crossing the porous U.S.-Mexico border.

Those stories--amplified by the Drudge Report and echoing in other outlets across the country--made the lack of border security impossible to ignore, changing the immigration debate.

The most telling sign that the border crisis had political consequences was Dave Brat's stunning upset victory over House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in the 7th congressional district primary in Virginia. From then on, Republicans began making their opposition to amnesty clear--and Democrats began to panic.

That is what led to Obama's reversal--and the original reporting from Breitbart, arguably the scoop of the year, deserves credit.

Obama’s Treachery and Republican Silence

When will they stop pretending this is a normal presidency? - David Horowitz/National Review

Barack Obama deliberately set out to lose the war in Iraq, and he did. He defied the advice of his joint chiefs of staff to secure America’s formidable military presence and keep 20,000 troops in country, and left Iraq to its own devices and the tender mercies of Iran. In doing so, he betrayed every American and Iraqi who gave his life to create a free Iraq and keep it out of the clutches of the terrorists.

Iraq is now a war zone dominated by the terrorist forces of the Islamic State, whose rise Obama’s policies fostered. Both his secretaries of state praised the animal Bashar Assad as a “reformer” and a man of “peace,” helping him to thwart his domestic opposition. The Islamic State was born out of the Syrian chaos that ensued.

Far worse was Obama’s open support for America’s mortal enemy, the Muslim Brotherhood, spawner of al-Qaeda and Hamas. During the “Arab Spring,” Obama essentially put America’s weight behind the legitimization of this murderous organization that had been outlawed for 40 years for its assassinations and conspiracies against the Egyptian regime. Secretary of State Clinton gave totally unfounded assurances to the world that the Brotherhood was ready to become part of the democratic process and give up its 90-year holy war against infidels, Jews in particular but also — and explicitly — America. During the Brotherhood’s brief tenure as the government in Egypt Obama gave these genocidal zealots more than a billion dollars in American aid and F-16 fighter-bombers that could easily reach Israel’s major population centers, which for 60 years the Brotherhood had sworn to destroy.

By his feckless interventions in the Middle East, and his tacit support for the chief organization of Islam’s terror war against the West, Obama has set the Middle East on fire. All the violence in the crescent from Gaza to Iraq, including Hamas’s genocidal war against Israel, has been encouraged by Obama’s support for the Brotherhood and hostility toward the Jewish state.

Characteristic of this encouragement was his illegal intervention in Libya, which violated every principle that Obama and the Democrats invoked to attack President Bush and undermine America’s war against the Saddam regime and the terrorists in Iraq. Thanks to Obama, Libya is now in the hands of the terrorists and thousands of Libyans are fleeing to Tunisia and Egypt. Thanks to Obama, the Christian communities of Iraq, which date back to the time of Christ, are being slaughtered....

Where is the Republican opposition? Why are Republicans still treating Obama as though his were a normal presidency and not a national disgrace? Why are there no indictments of Obama for the carnage he has enabled?

When will Republicans gather the courage to start speaking truth to power?

GOP Rep Gives Straight-Shooting Rebuttal To Nancy Pelosi’s Meltdown Against Him On the House Floor

Fireworks erupted on the House floor Friday when Nancy Pelosi lost her mind reacted angrily to comments made by Rep. Tom Marino (R-Pa.) about the crisis on the border. How angrily, you ask? Pelosi raced across the floor, in violation of House etiquette, wagging her finger at Marino.

On Monday, Rep. Marino hooked up with Fox and Friends to explain his take on the situation:
“She came over and started calling me ‘a liar, a liar.’ And that’s when I said, ‘no, I do my homework, I did my research, these are the facts; you might want to try that once in awhile.’”
Marino said that in addition to being called a liar, Pelosi also called him “an insignificant person.” His “insignificant” comments that set her off:
