Why the Left Is Having a Nervous Breakdown



...Trump is what the shrinks call the 'presenting complaint." The real problem, as is often the case in psychotherapy, is something entirely different. And it is this: the left is dead. It's not only dead, it's decomposed with no there there or anywhere.

Only dopes or con artists believe in socialism anymore (hello, Venezuela!) and identity politics has been exposed as the racist shell game it is with blacks and Latinos actually doing better than they have in decades under the current pro-capitalist administration.

So the left has nothing to say, only most of them don't quite realize it yet. But this blockage, this reluctance and even inability to deal with what is actually happening shuts down the brain and emerges as anger, the hamster wheel of constant rage against Trump....

Trump Wows in Nashville

...This, as they all are, is a Trump night. He's the main event and the campaign never ends. Having seen him do a dozen or more of these now, he continues to get better at them. He’s more relaxed and free-flowing. This must rankle the media more than anything. He is our entertainer-in-chief, so much more entertaining than they are.

One of the other (related) reasons the Deep State loathes Trump is that he is noisy. He demands attention. The Deep State demands quiet so no one knows what they are doing....

Trump Vastly Better than Obama at Foreign Policy





Now that we have learned CIA director and secretary of State nominee Mike Pompeo met with Kim Jung Un over Easter, it is time to acknowledge the obvious: the foreign policy of political novice Donald Trump has been vastly more successful that that of the supposedly experienced Barack Obama.

And vastly is an understatement. Obama's foreign policy was a disaster, beginning with the peculiar apology tour that mystified much of its Middle Eastern audience, through the yet more peculiar (misspelled) reset button with Russia that further mystified Sergei Lavrov, on to Obama's overheard whisper to Medvedev telling Putin he would be more accommodating on missile defense after the election (imagine the apoplectic reaction of our media if Trump did that!), to the Libyan war leading to the assassination of Qaddafi (the only Arab leader to voluntarily denuclearize) that created a failed state and a raft of refugees to Italy and elsewhere, and, of course, the rapid exit from Iraq that gave rise to ISIS.

And this omits the equally egregious examples -- the failure to enforce the red line on Assad's use of chemical weapons, about which he naively believed Putin, and the never-signed, never-published Iran Deal itself, which has done nothing but enrich the mullahs who wreak havoc from Venezuela to Yemen. This duplicitous and unverifiable non-agreement prolonged the monstrous Syrian civil war, causing the greatest refugee crisis since World War II and changing the character of Europe possibly forever.

There's more but you get the point. Not even Jimmy Carter had that bad a record. And this is without Obama's sickening lack of response to the freedom demonstrators in Iran. ("Obama, Obama, are you with us or are you with them?" Well, we know.)

Forget Watergate.







Friday's firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, based on a report from the Office of Professional Responsibility, is only the beginning of what is likely to be the most explosive series of revelations in American history....

From the FBI and across the intelligence agencies an astonishing number of people are going to find themselves accused, one can safely predict at this point, of some atrocious behavior in a free republic. And it will not just be the small change of Peter Strzok (the dimwitted director of counter-intelligence) and his gal pal Lisa Page. It will include—on one level or another—James Comey, Loretta Lynch, John Brennan, James Clapper, Susan Rice and, almost inevitably, Barack Obama, not to mention others known and unknown.

All these people's reputations will be damaged forever for the pathetic purpose of getting Hillary Clinton elected president and later for their determination to manipulate the FBI and intelligence agencies to wound as severely as possible Trump's presidency. That they didn't stop to think that they might be wounding America at the same time is extraordinarily selfish and nauseating....

The Republican Congress Must Get Its Act Together NOW



They have the House, they have the Senate, they have the presidency -- and nothing's happening. Nothing, that is, that Donald Trump doesn't do by himself (i. e. reversing Obama's executive orders and cutting regulations in general, reviving American global power, etc.).

The Republicans in the legislature are a disgrace. They can't get it together to compromise on anything and move forward -- no tax reform, no healthcare, no nothing. They are overwhelmed by a combination of overweening ego and rigid ideology -- a lethal cocktail. What their behavior is doing is creating an inevitable situation where they lose control of Congress and ultimately the White House to the Democrats, when they had everything handed to them. Evidently, the Republicans can't stand prosperity. Or maybe they really are the Stupid Party....

So my advice is this -- Easter's over. Do something! Now!

...I wouldn't doubt the editorial board of the NYT is also aware that the policy of the Nazi party was pretty close to what they are recommending, the confiscation of guns -- for the National Socialists so that they could be sure they were only in the hands of those deemed acceptable (not Jews, etc.). To use Orwell's term this time, that would make the NYT "objectively pro-fascist."

But perhaps less harmful than our own government. Reacting to the San Bernardino Islamic ideology-based terror rampage... er, workplace violence... the first thing out of our attorney general's mouth was to warn James Comey, director of the FBI, that the real danger from this event was anti-Muslim backlash and to watch his language. In other words, don't call a duck a duck. According to DCWhispers, the order had come down from Obama and Jarrett to Lynch, in which order was unspecified, that Comey's statements should be bowdlerized. It was.

Okay, I've had it. Mr. LaPierre, as I told you, I'm in. You've got another one-time Jewish lefty in the NRA. That should make at least one of us.

Roger L. Simon: Republican Debate #4: Do We Have a ‘Final Four’?



...Only eight front-running candidates are going to be on the main stage according to the rules of the Fox Business presidential debate Tuesday night, and four will participate in the undercard. Nevertheless, no matter how many are on that stage in Milwaukee, I’m almost certain we are already down to a “Final Four.” And it’s pretty obvious who they are: Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz. (Sentimentally, I wish there were still hope for Carly, because I like her. But there isn’t. If this were the Oscars, we could give her a special humanitarian award or something.)

Short of something extraordinary happening — and that’s always possible — it’s hard to envision any of the others, including Jeb Bush (whose desperate SuperPAC is reportedly about to blow $20 million to destroy his ex-mentee Rubio — how pathetic is that?), finding a path to the nomination, even though the conventional wisdom is that it’s “still early.”

The truth, however, is that, largely thanks to Trump, it’s not early at all. The public has been glued to this election from the get-go. It’s a national sport, rivaling football....

...there’s good news in all this. All four of these gentlemen in the Final Four would make a pretty decent president. And not just in comparison to their unappealing adversaries — a serial-lying ex-Alinskyite gone Chappaqua plutocrat and an aging Norman Thomas-clone who seems to have forgotten to come back from his honeymoon in the Soviet Union. In different ways, the four Republicans are in themselves interesting and impressive men. I almost wish we could run history four times to see which of them finally would be the best president, because no matter what any of us say, it is impossible to know. We can only guess...

90% of the Racism in America Comes from the Democratic Party and the Left



Ninety percent of the racism in America today comes from the Democratic Party and the Left. They live off it and exploit it. It is unconscionable to the degree they do this, ruining the lives and futures of the very people they say they are helping in the process.

I am uniquely positioned to say this because I spent most of my life on the Left and was a civil rights worker in the South in my early twenties. I was also, to my everlasting regret, a donor to the Black Panther Party in the seventies.


So I have seen this personally from both sides and my conclusion is inescapable. The Left is far, far worse. They are obsessed with race in a manner that does not allow them to see straight. Further, they project racism onto others continually, exacerbating situations, which in most instances weren’t even there in the first place. From Al Sharpton to Hillary Clinton, they all do it.

Barack Obama is one of the worst offenders in this regard. Recently, in reaction to the horrid actions of the deranged, but solitary racist Dylann Root, the president claimed racism is in our DNA.

How could he possibly utter such nonsense and who was he talking about? The majority of Americans are from families that came to this country after slavery existed. Many of those were escaping oppression of their own. In my case my family was fleeing the pogroms of Eastern Europe. Many of the members of my family who stayed behind ended up gassed in Auschwitz or starved to death in Treblinka.

Is Obama telling me that racism is in my DNA? What a wretched and insulting statement. ◼ KEEP READING

But weird – and black comic – as everything is these days, the Clintons are an American greed story beyond Sinclair Lewis’ wildest imagination. The president who diddled an intern is the same dude as the ex-president who delivers speeches at $500,000 a pop in Moscow while his wife is making deals with their government.


...No, I don’t know how the “Voters for Hillary” got my cell number. (Yes, they’re real. They have a Facebook page). Maybe they just dial at random in California, figuring almost everyone’s a Hillary supporter. But it should be a warning, even though we already know it. A whole lot of people out there are clueless, even those working for candidates, and likely to remain so. I didn’t get into the 30,000 erased emails with this character but I doubt he would have heard of them. That the Clinton Foundation was suddenly refiling five years (or possibly the last decade) of taxes and that some $140 million in foreign donations had somehow mysteriously disappeared in the midst of the uranium sale would probably have gone flying over this dude’s head. One wonders if he would have cared....

Can you imagine what it will be like in this country if Hillary actually succeeds in getting elected after all this? We will have a president the majority of people think is a bald-faced liar to start with. Where does she go from there? She will have no way to recover the trust of the American people. It will never happen. We will live in a miserable, strange land as the globe goes to Hell (or continues to). If “liberals’” (or whatever they choose to call themselves) don’t replace her at this point, they hate us and themselves....

Roger L. Simon: "The left is vastly more racist than the right. It’s not even close."

Because I am in New York for a short visit and, as the world well knows, the city of my birth is in a period of racial turmoil, I am going to say something I have been thinking about for a long time. And because I am one of the relative few to have spent long periods of his life on both the left and the right and because I was a civil rights worker in the sixties. I think — though it is purely personal and based only on observation — I have earned the right to an opinion. So here goes.

The left is vastly more racist than the right. It’s not even close. Since I was publicly identified with the right, roughly from when I started blogging in 2003 (although it was actually several years earlier in private), I have personally witnessed not a single incident of racism from anyone who could be considered a right winger and heard only one racial slur — and that was from a Frenchman. In the seven years I was CEO of PJ Media, I came to know or meet literally dozens of people who identified with the Tea Party. I did not hear one word of anything close to racism from any of them even once. Not one, ever. This despite their being accused of racism constantly.

The left, on the other hand, is filled with racism of all sorts, much, but not all, of it projected..... KEEP READING

2016 is the Republicans’ to lose. That doesn’t mean they won’t. They seem to be able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory with remarkable ease, especially in presidential years. But they start this time with a big advantage. Liberalism, to paraphrase the late Preston Sturges (he was referring to chivalry), is “not only dead, it’s decomposed.”

Liberalism n’existe pas — and almost everybody knows it. It is completely out of ideas. Obama was the last gasp of a dying ideology. All they have left is some pathetic and teetering identity politics. That is why the Democratic Party was so flummoxed over the last few days over the words of their stalwart Chuck Schumer, when he criticized the risibly titled Affordable Care Act. The New York senator said his party (and Obama clearly), rather than trying to reform healthcare, should have concentrated on improving the state of the middle class. But crucially, Schumer didn’t say how. That’s because in his ideology, there is no more how.... KEEP READING

What to say about the latest round of Islamo-carnage in Jerusalem that hasn’t been said thousands of times before? Golda Meir made it all clear in her famous 1957 speech at the National Press Club in DC: “Peace will come when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us.”

In other words, basically never. The hate culture of the Palestinians — and almost all Arabs — is so deeply imbued it’s hard to imagine it ever changing. After this recent incident, they danced in the street with hatchets and gave each other candy.

Lots of people have tried to make peace with them. The supposed war-monger Ariel Sharon uprooted his own people and gave the Palestinians Gaza. We all know what happened. Then prime minister Ehud Olmert offered the Palestinians the peace deal of the century. They walked away.

The reason is obvious. The Palestinians don’t want a two-state solution and never have....

So what to do? This morning when I woke up and saw the horrifying pictures of the blood-stained interior of the synagogue in Har Nof, themselves reminiscent of the Holocaust, my first thought was: Nuke ‘em! Now, hours and several bourbons later, I realize we — particularly the United States — have yet to try something far more dangerous: honesty. The lame duck reactionary who is our president refuses to say there is anything wrong with Islam although it is the holy books of that religion that motivate this activity again and again and again and…

We never say what’s behind all this evil, the source of the psychopathic violence. We dare not mention the I-word, even when they desecrate a synagogue with the blood of rabbis or burn down a church in Egypt or cut off head after head after head. Obama, who grew up with anti-Semite pals like Bill Ayers and Rashid Khalidi, denies that Islam has anything to do with this — probably, not so deep down, because we all know it has a great deal to do with him, how he was raised.
