"We Need to Know What Brennan, Clapper, Comey, Rice, Power and the Rest of Them Did"

...Halper's contracts were funded through four annual awards paid directly out of the Pentagon's Office of Net Assessment (ONA). Established as the DoD's "internal think tank" in 1973 by Richard Nixon (whose administration Halper worked for), the ONA was run by foreign policy strategist Andrew Marshall from its inception until his 2015 retirement at the age of 93, after which he was succeeded by current director James H. Baker.... Halper's most recent award was noted recently by Trump supporter Jacob Wohl, which piqued the interest of internet researchers who continued the analysis....

The most recent award to Halper for $411,575 was made in two payments, and had a start date of September 26, 2016 - three days after a September 23 Yahoo! News article by Michael Isikoff about Trump aide Carter Page, which used information fed to Isikoff by "pissgate" dossier creator Christopher Steele. The FBI would use the Yahoo! article along with the unverified "pissgate" dossier as supporting evidence in an FISA warrant application for Page. ...

Is Robert Mueller Destroying the Democratic Party?

...But let's skip past the subplots of the moment to the greatest of all unintended consequences of this endless investigation -- the decline and fall of the Democratic Party.

Yes, you read that correctly. Like a crackhead addicted to the next puff, Democrats and their media allies have spent most of the last sixteen months fixated on whether Trump somehow, some way, colluded with Putin. Meanwhile, a zillion issues slipped by, some important, others less so, but the Democrats barely weighed in on anything, other than to whine about Trump.

What a dumb mistake....

The false intel on Cohen/Prague is a risk of exposure within the FBI and DOJ-NSD team that allowed *contractors* (FusionGPS) to "extract raw intelligence" from NSA and FBI FISA(702)databases. The mistake highlights how Steele Dossier was actually an intelligence laundry operation

No, the reason is there's absolutely nothing to learn from this book. The five so-called takeaways listed by The Hill are so much pointless bilge.

...But speaking of books, I thought high-level government officials like Comey were not supposed to publish kiss-and-tell tomes like this what seems like minutes after leaving their position. It was contractually prohibited. Or was that just the CIA? Whatever the case, it's more than unseemly. It's repugnant. The publication of this book is just one more indication, as if we needed one, that the FBI is a rancid, corrupt organization that should be disbanded.

MOST IMPORTANT READ OF OUR TIME - NO EXAGGERATION> The Ticking Memo

...If all this is not a scandal — then the following protocols are now considered permissible in American electoral practice and constitutional jurisprudence: An incumbent administration can freely use the FBI and the DOJ to favor one side in a presidential election, by buying its opposition research against the other candidate, using its own prestige to authenticate such a third-party oppositional dossier, and then using it to obtain court-ordered wiretaps on American citizens employed by a candidate’s campaign — and do so by deliberately misleading the court about the origins and authors of the dossier that was used to obtain the warrants....

The current internal efforts in the middle of a campaign to weaponize the FBI and DOJ are something new. And it illustrates a larger effort of the prior administration to warp FBI investigations of Hillary Clinton’s unauthorized and illegal email server and other purported improper behavior, as well as efforts of Obama-administration officials to improperly request unmasking of improperly surveilled Americans for improperly political purposes. These efforts come on top of previous attempts to politicize the IRS in order to oppose perceived political opponents and to monitor journalists reporting stories deemed unfavorable to the administration. Finally, unlike past administration scandals, when the press posed as custodians of the public interest and demanded transparency from government agencies, this time around the media are arguing for secrecy and suppression of documents, and are unconcerned with likely violations of the civil liberties of American citizens by overzealous federal officials likely breaking the law....

Read the whole thing. At the link.

The next question: Who gave the order to obstruct Justice and illegally spy on Americans? Just how high does the conspiracy go?

"I think the American people understand the FBI should not go to secret courts using information that was paid for by the Democrats to open up investigations and get warrants on people of the other political party."

The Obama Government’s Secret Societies

A week after the election, groups inside and outside the government, some calling themselves Obama Anonymous, had begun meeting to plan the “resistance” to Trump. Unlike the angry protesters in the streets, this resistance wasn’t a new organization. It consisted of Washington D.C. government lifers.

At the CFPB, there was a group calling itself Dumbledore’s Army. Within the FBI and the DOJ, there was a nameless “secret society”. Its details are being derived from text messages exchanged between Peter Strzok, a disgraced member of Mueller’s team, and his mistress, Lisa Page, who worked for FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe....

The DOJ and FBI secret society, Dumbledore’s Army and Obama Anonymous are all holdovers from a radical administration that was obsessed with protecting its secrets and destroying its enemies.

In the summer of ’07, Obama promised that his would be the most transparent administration in history. "The real business of our democracy isn't done in town halls or public meetings or even in the open halls of Congress," he had complained. "Decisions are made in closed-door meetings, or with the silent stroke of the President's pen."

Then he went on to preside over a regime where the “stroke of the President’s pen” outweighed Congress. The real decisions weren’t even made in cabinet meetings, but with a close circle of advisers, like Ben Rhodes, whose proceedings weren’t revealed to the public.

Top administration figures like Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Attorney General Eric Holder, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson and the IRS’ Lois Lerner used secret email accounts to avoid transparency leading to major scandals. It was no coincidence that they were also at the center of some of the administration’s worst abuses....

"Is the Mueller Investigation's real purpose is to cover up the FBI/DOJ mistakes, attempting to bring down a sitting President?"

Media Ignores Fed Lawsuit by Dems Accusing DNC, Wasserman Schultz of Fraud - Judicial Watch

The mainstream media is conspicuously ignoring a newsworthy class-action lawsuit accusing the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the Florida congresswoman—Debbie Wasserman Schultz—who chaired it of fraud for skewing the party’s primaries to benefit Hillary Clinton. The drama is playing out in a south Florida federal court where 150 Democratic voters and donors are also accusing their party and Wasserman Schultz of breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, unjust enrichment, and negligent misrepresentation for secretly helping Clinton get the presidential nomination over Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

“Despite the requirements in the Charter, and in spite of the multiple public declarations of neutrality and impartiality with respect to the Democratic primary process, the DNC was not neutral,” a 35-page complaint states. “To the contrary, the DNC was biased in favor of one candidate – Hillary Clinton (“Clinton”) – from the beginning and throughout the process. The DNC devoted its considerable resources to supporting Clinton above any of the other Democratic candidates. Through its public claims to being neutral and impartial, the DNC actively concealed its bias from its own donors as well as donors to the campaigns of Clinton’s rivals, including Bernie Sanders (“Sanders”).

The scandal broke when leaked DNC electronic mail showed that the committee favored and backed Clinton instead of Sanders during the primary. Wasserman Schultz resigned in disgrace as DNC chair, was publicly blasted by Sanders supporters and didn’t gavel in the party convention last summer in Philadelphia....
