First Time in History President Has Affected Public Safety of All Americans

Last year the Obama administration assured Congress and the public that the 2,200 people it freed from immigration jails to save money had only minor criminal records.

It was not true.

On Wednesday USA Today reported that Obama immigration officials released illegal immigrants who had faced serious criminal charges, including people charged with kidnapping, sexual assault, drug trafficking and homicide.

On Thursday Judge Andrew Napolitano condemned the irresponsible and dangerous move.
“The president releases people from a jail who have a record of violence, a criminal conviction of violence. It’s the first time in my memory in knowledge of modern American history… that the President of the United States has affirmatively, in a negative way, affected the public safety of the average American. I just don’t understand what kind of a possible justification, he or Josh Earnest could give for that.”

Where are the whistleblowers? Babeu told Jeanine Pirro that “several memos had been sent out to ICE agents about the prisoner releases, and anyone who talked about it “outside our agency shall be disciplined up to and including termination, creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation.” He said, “these federal agents, who swore an oath to protect our country, are being intimidated from doing the right thing.”
But Jay Carney and ICE Chief John Morton insisted the released detainees were “low risk” and “non-criminal” – and the MSM apparently took their word for it, because that outrageous scandal – like so many other outrageous scandals – simply disappeared from the news.

So now, all these months later, the truth comes out.
The records, obtained by USA TODAY, show immigration officials released some undocumented immigrants who had faced far more serious criminal charges, including people charged with kidnapping, sexual assault, drug trafficking and homicide.

Watching the influx of unaccompanied minors crossing our southwestern border daily, a reasonable man could conclude that we are living out the fevered dreams of a dystopian novel. The United States has lost a basic aspect of sovereignty. Control over its borders is a relic of the past....

Many Americans are deeply disturbed by the “situation.” They resent the expenditure of resources and the appropriation of facilities for the detention of the minors. They fear the public health consequences of their dispersion, with reports reliably indicating, despite attempts to suppress the information, the presence of tuberculosis and other unwelcome conditions among them. They also suspect that the president of the United States supports the situation....

Scheduled to attend a couple of big-buck Democratic fundraisers last week in Dallas and Austin, within shouting distance of the border, Obama declined to take a look at what’s going on with his own eyes. A White House spokesman explained that Obama already had a good grasp of the “situation,” while the president himself declared, “I’m not interested in photo-ops. I’m interested in solving the problem.” Even some Democrats didn’t buy it. “Don’t take any cameras, Mr. President, but go down there and see what we’re facing,” Texas congressman Henry Cuellar said on CNN, calling it Obama’s “Katrina moment.”

Obama was ultimately shamed into holding a couple of meetings before he flew off to a fundraiser at the home of Machete director Robert Rodriguez, where donors paid up to $32,400 to hobnob with the president and Hollywood celebrities. After the talks, which included Texas governor Rick Perry, Obama made a brief statement, arguing for “comprehensive immigration reform” and the $3.7 billion he’s requested, and filibustered responses to two questions. He said that Governor Perry had asked him to deploy the National Guard at the border, conceded that it made sense, but opposed it as a “temporary” measure. He blamed Republicans for the crisis, deriding them as opponents of negotiation and compromise. Calling his claims straw men is an insult to straw men everywhere, but the metaphor is apt. Obama’s straw men are the only force that will be deployed at the border, and they are inviting people to come on in.

Obama, Democrats Self-Destructing Over Immigration Policy

Now, that's all changed and not even the usually Obama-friendly Washington Post can ignore it.

But with the current crisis on the Southwest border, where authorities have apprehended tens of thousands of unaccompanied Central American children since October, that calculus may be shifting.

Not only has the issue shifted from supposedly favoring Democrats, to now favoring the GOP, it's also Democrats, not Republicans left struggling with a divided party as we prepare to move into the Fall.

I think one reason this situation is souring badly enough for even the Washington Post to sound red alerts is that it's the crisis next door for everyone. It's not just about pumping states that don't vote Democrat full of illegal aliens. They're getting resettled all across the country, leading local officials and law enforcement to raise a hue and cry from coast to cost.

For example, sheriffs are speaking out in Boston, of all places....

Two weeks ago, Obama assured us (and warned the people of Central America) that all of these inbound illegal aliens would be repatriated. Last week, he said it's impossible to repatriate any of them, because he decided to take half of a law signed in 2008 seriously and ignore the other half. Is forcing him to drop the blatant lies he was telling two weeks ago progress?

Teen members of feared MS-13 gang who admitted to torture and murder among child immigrants at border center and ´are trying to recruit others´

A border agent had raised fears about gangs last month, saying: 'If he’s a confirmed gang member in his own country, why are we letting him in here?'
Officials running the border centers, which are overwhelmed with immigrants, said there was little they could do to tackle the gang problem.
'Agents' hands are tied due to the policies governing the care and lodging of juveniles and this has allowed gang recruitment and activity to flourish amongst those being detained,' National Border Patrol Council's vice-chairman Shawn Moran told Townhall.
Homeland Security has been informed of the 16 known MS-13 gang members in the youth facility.

The top secret operation to move illegal alien children from detention centers near the border to locations throughout the United States is continuing with the government now engaging Catholic churches to shelter the border jumpers until they can be processed and released.

The Daily Caller reports that a diocese in California is acting as a way station for the illegal children, housing them until other living arrangements are made elsewhere in the U.S....Ordinary citizens are not informed of these arrangements, causing a lot of anger to be directed at authorities:...

With the greatest of secrecy, the government is shipping these illegal kids all over the country, and then releasing them into the custody of a family member or “sponsor” — whoever that is. DHS revealed that the “same family members or sponsors are appearing several times to claim different children from the custody of U.S. authorities.”

And Kirk should be ashamed to be asking for criminal background checks on these kids?

Once again, the Obama administration is shoving something unpalatable down the throats of the American people. And they are doing it in secret without informing citizens of potential health risks, while not even taking the basic precaution of running criminal background checks on children who already may be involved in a life of crime.

Perhaps Congress can include funding for background checks in the president’s $3.7 billion request to deal with the crisis at the border. Somebody has got to do something to protect the citizens from the consequences of this invasion.

Border Patrol Agent Apparently Defies Gag Order to Go Unfiltered on CNN – Hear His Big Claim About Obama Admin.



◼ Border Patrol agent Hector Garcia on Thursday accused the Obama administration of “aiding, abetting and facilitating the smuggling of illegal aliens across the border.” - The Blaze

In an interview with CNN, Garza said the current influx of illegal immigrants is “organized” and “orchestrated” by the drug cartels. Additionally, he said the federal government is giving illegal immigrants a “free pass.” He said the feds are using the equivalent of the honor system in asking illegal immigrants to later report to an immigration hearing — even though the majority of them will never do so....

Garza later argued that U.S. taxpayers are going to be on the hook to provide for the immigrant families.

“How do you expect a mother from Honduras that is crossing the country with 3 to 5 children, and they’re all young-aged children, how do you expect for that mother who comes to this country to actually begin working?” he asked.

He continued: “This illegal alien who comes to this country with 3 to 5 kids is gonna depend on our welfare system, on government assistance. And you know what? That is costing the taxpayer a lot of money.”

Not surprisingly, the liberal commentator Ruben Navarrette tries to accuse Hector of lying, instead of tackling his claim, because obviously CNN isn’t bright enough to vet their guests – that’s how Ruben got on the show anyway. Garza points out the most alarming aspect of this crisis – a majority of border agents are being re-assigned to take care of these children while the border becomes even more porous than it was before.

Obama Pushing California Back Into GOP Camp

◼ Obama’s lame duck madness does not seem to be abating, but it does seem to be backfiring. Obama has clearly gone all Imperial – jettisoning all pretense that he recognizes and respects (let alone defends) the checks and balances of our laws and constitution. - The Strata-Sphere

Obama’s attempt to provide immigration refugee camps in California (and elsewhere) is proving to be politically quite toxic. While the immigration wave was contained to deep red Texas there was no major upheaval in the balance of power in the US. But as that wave spreads out, there will be repurcussions.
Obama’s federal guards are forcing communities to take in tens of thousands of undocumented people of questionable background and intent (here I mean we have no idea if these people are criminals, free loaders, wanting a better life or just visiting family). This heavy hand action is producing heated resistance:

The transfer and release of the migrants has created a strong divide between those who want to help and those who don’t want them here at all. Protesters blocked buses that were supposed to arrive at a Murrieta border patrol center on Tuesday.

“When the buses come, you are going to see Americans that are willing to throw themselves under the bus, that’s what you are going to see,” demostrator Greg Allison said ahead of the migrants’ arrival. “I don’t care if I lose a limb. Even if the buses get past me and I lose a limb, guess what? The rest of the country is going to take notice.”
If this type of reaction begins repeating across the country that would be amazing. And it probably will.

But let’s focus on California and how that state will react. I think Obama and his liberal sycophants misunderstand how California thinks as a community. Yes, they are liberal and hate all things Bush and Tea Party (mostly because they are very naive about such topics). But they are not open border types – not at all....

Californians DO NOT want more immigrants coming in. Only 18% support that idea. 71% prefer to keep the levels the same or reduce them. This 71% will not like what is happening with the flood of refugees coming into their state, consuming their resources. Read the rest!

A dramatic scene in Murrieta that saw American flag-waving protesters prevent Homeland Security buses carrying undocumented migrant children and families from reaching a suburban processing center is likely to be repeated in the coming days, a city official said Wednesday....

The standoff came after Mayor Alan Long urged residents to complain to elected officials about the plan to transfer the Central American migrants to California to ease overcrowding of facilities along the Texas-Mexico border.

After the buses were blocked, federal authorities rerouted the vehicles to a freeway and then to a customs and border facility in San Diego within view of the Mexico border.

At least 40 illegal immigrants processed are in quarantine for head lice and scabies, according to CBS 2′s Tom Wait. A Border Patrol agent told Wait another 140 could be brought to Murrieta on the Fourth of July.

U.S. Congressman Blocked From Entering Child Immigrant Facility

◼ An Oklahoma Congressman who visited an Army base being used to house illegal immigrant children now wonders what the federal government is hiding after he was denied access to the facility. - Daily Caller

“There is no excuse for denying a Federal Representative from Oklahoma access to a federal facility in Oklahoma where unaccompanied children are being held,” Rep. Jim Bridenstine said in a statement following his visit Tuesday to Ft. Sill Army base near Lawton.

The Department of Health and Human Services has set up housing at Ft. Sill and two other military bases – Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio and Ventura County Naval Base in Oxnard, Cali. – to house thousands of unaccompanied alien children, or UACs, who were apprehended at the southern U.S. border.

Bridenstine went to Ft. Sill to observe the conditions under which the 1,200 UACs there are living and to find out to whom they would be released.

But when he showed up at the facility, Bridenstine says he was told by a guard with a security unit which calls itself the “Brown Shirts” that he could not observe the children or their living conditions.

When the congressman spoke to a manager and HHS official, he was told he would have to schedule a formal visit for July 21.

“Any Member of Congress should have the legal authority to visit a federal youth detention facility without waiting three weeks,” Bridenstine said in his statement.

It’s not just politicians being shut out either. Border Patrol agents have been told to shut up and not talk to the press or they would be fired and arrested. Now, medical staff have also been warned to keep mum under threat of arrest. Suddenly, it’s really, really beginning to feel a lot like Nazi Germany and for the first time, I truly feel a shudder of fear crawling up my spine. Obama and his cohorts are not even being subtle any more. These are children, for God’s sake! Children who are being warehoused in FEMA-type refugee camps with no rights, no visitors and absolutely no transparency. Forget about compassion and humanity – they serve the collective.

Obama proclaimed to America that the children had to go home to their individual countries. But his actions belie his true intent. These children were provided bus tickets in many instances. They were actively recruited to come here. Now they live in deplorable conditions… filth and stench beyond American comprehension and a plethora of disease is spreading. This, my friends, is manufactured chaos. A chaos that Obama could use to put UN troops on our borders.

Why do you think medical staff are being threatened and bullied? Because the conditions are so outrageous that Americans would be horrified if they truly knew how bad it was, that’s why. The threats are coming from a government contracted security agency who actually refer to themselves as “Brown Shirts.” I kid you not. “It was a very submissive atmosphere,” the counselor said. “Once you stepped onto the grounds, you abided by their laws – the Brown Shirt laws.” This is part of Obama’s private mercenary army. Several personnel have broken their confidentiality agreements to come forward anyway. Good on em....

So now, telling the truth can get you imprisoned – in the United States. This is no longer a free country and we are letting Progressive thugs and monsters run things. This must stop.

...Obama is flaunting this in our faces. Why do you think these jackbooted thugs proudly call themselves “Brown Shirts?” They want the shock, awe and fear of it to reverberate among Americans — that’s right — domestic shock and awe. They want submission. This is the mentality and actions of a dictator beginning to spread his poison throughout what was once the land of the free and the home of the brave. Enforcing the secrecy of Obama’s refugee camps is only the beginning of the end of America. The Constitution be damned.

So before you think those tens of thousands of kids will just be sent home, think again.

Little known law could allow many of the unaccompanied children to remain in the U.S. legally if they are “abandoned”

Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.

If you haven’t heard of it before now, you probably will as tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors flood across the border, having been “abandoned” by their parents in Central America.

A Legal Insurrection reader tipped us off to what could be a coming legal onslaught to give these children a right to stay in the U.S. permanently:
“Special Immigrant Juvenile Status is something that we attorneys on the border have been getting CLE training in for a while, but largely it has not been well known outside of CPS attorney work.

With the invasion now taking place, it is going to explode. No parents means that any immigrant child under 18 can apply for a Green Card as soon as they are deemed “abandoned” by their parents for 6 months by the court system. There are some other minor rules, but that is the big one….

The bill renewal was the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008. It modified and exempted application of certain rules which would normally result in inadmissibility…. Also, it set up an “expedited” review schedule that USCIS is REQUIRED to adjudicate SIJ petitions within 180 days of filing, and that interviews may be WAIVED for SIJ petitioners under 14 years of age or when it is determined that an interview is unnecessary.

Further, per the Violence Against Women Act of 2005, a SIJ petitioner may not be required to contact an individual who allegedly abused, abandoned or neglected the Juvenile.

What nobody is talking about (or maybe nobody has realized yet) is that this is going to flood the child welfare courts FIRST, before they get to the USCIS (certain findings of fact which can only be made by the state are prerequisites to SIJS applications) with a sudden influx of “abandoned” children, and put a strain on the CPS system like nothing that has ever been seen.”

One state trooper told Infowars that the border is now an explosive hotspot of violent crime, which is now rapidly spreading miles inland.

“I just got a report from a couple of days ago from a local rancher that they [illegal immigrants] broke into his ranch and we are getting more and more reports of either [Border Patrol] agents who are being accosted or deputies who are fighting resistance from these individuals,” Ramirez added.

The ‘DREAM Act’ I Saw

Editor’s Note: As part of its ongoing investigation of the surging influx of illegal aliens across the U.S.-Mexico border, CNSNews.com recently went to the border in McAllen, Texas. Presented here are our reporter’s personal observations of the detention facility there and the conditions faced by the illegals and the U.S. Border Patrol agents trying to manage the situation.)

...Even standing under the force of five jumbo fans and a strong Texas breeze, the stench of unwashed bodies and well-used toilets hangs heavy, stagnating under the sweltering 100-degree heat and making it hard to breathe.

A border patrol bus pulls up to the gate. The doors open and a dozen more immigrants, mostly children, pile out, having come straight from the banks of the Rio Grande where smugglers ferried them from the Mexican bank to the United States. An agent ushers them through the door and into the processing room.

This isn’t a dream, and it sure doesn’t look like Ellis Island.

◼ U.S. law enforcement officials have been finding “cheat sheets” along the border used by illegal immigrants to try to stay in the United States and not get deported after they’ve been caught. - The Blaze

One federal law enforcement official dubbed them “illegal alien cheat sheets.”

A copy of one sheet obtained by TheBlaze lists a series of questions that U.S. authorities will consider in granting someone an immigration hearing.

“It’s proof they are told what to say,” a Department of Homeland Security official told TheBlaze. Often times, the sheets get “destroyed or thrown away before illegal aliens are apprehended.”

The sheet obtained by TheBlaze has handwritten notes about the appropriate “yes” or “no” answers to the questions, along with some jotted personal notes on what to say to U.S. authorities. They include, “Who did you live with?” and the answer, “My aunt, but she crossed the border.”

Another handwritten question is, “Where does your father live?” The answer underneath reads, “I don’t know him or even his name.”

Border Patrol agents in McAllen, Texas, have said most of the illegal immigrants they encounter have the same “rehearsed” answers about having “credible fear” in fleeing their countries so they will not be returned....

The feds were advertising for "escorts for unaccompanied alien children" in JANUARY.

According to a “help wanted” Request For Information (RFI) posted on FedBizOpps.gov, the feds were looking for vendors to help escort unaccompanied alien children (UAC) in JANUARY of this year.

The specific vendor requirements state:
ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] is seeking the services of a responsible vendor that shares the philosophy of treating all UAC with dignity and respect, while adhering to standard operating procedures and policies that allow for an effective, efficient, and incident free transport. The Contractor shall provide unarmed escort staff, including management, supervision, manpower, training, certifications, licenses, drug testing, equipment, and supplies necessary to provide on-demand escort services for non-criminal/non-delinquent unaccompanied alien children ages infant to 17 years of age, seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year. Transport will be required for either category of UAC or individual juveniles, to include both male and female juveniles. There will be approximately 65,000 UAC in total: 25% local ground transport, 25% via ICE charter and 50% via commercial air.
