At the close of 2015, the pot is getting ready to boil over....

We’ve seen universities from coast-to-coast bullied into staff firings and policy changes that were meant to only aid black students. These college uprisings have been accompanied by a fierce hatred of free speech; and when combined with the bold aggressiveness of multicultural and feminist Social Justice Warriors, they’ve created an educational environment that is openly hostile to white students and faculty.

With the next presidential election only 11 months away, conservatives and Republicans would be making a huge mistake to ignore the Black Lives Matter movement.

At the close of 2015, the pot is getting ready to boil over....

The engine that drives the anger is the mainstream media, which has done nothing to seriously vet the Black Lives Matter movement. Much of the anger is caused by the inaccurate reporting that consistently vilifies the police and leaves out key details about the shooting victims. This has led to fables such as “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot,” which have continued to be amplified and repeated by Black Lives Matter protesters long after they have been debunked.

In fact, one of the key characteristics of the Black Lives Matter movement and the mainstream media’s reporting on it is a naked antipathy for facts. Both in real life and on social media like Twitter, leading Black Lives Matter activists are known for shutting down the speech of dissenting opinions and literally blocking anyone who disagrees with them.

The result has been a hermetically sealed activist movement that is angry and ignorant, with a hairtrigger temper and a long list of grievances that have no factual basis. Worse, their set of crazed demands have been granted time and again by officials who are too scared to speak out for fear of being branded racists.

Like spoiled children, none of this appeasement has done anything to quell the protesters’ fury. Every time that politicians or university administrators have given into the outrageous, entitled Black Lives Matter mob, they’ve learned that feeding that monster has only given it more power to make more demands....

...the current political season is set to be even more divisive than either of the last two election cycles, which had already set a very high bar for vitriol.

As the newest incarnation of the activist Left, Black Lives Matter will not back down or rest until it is either stopped by somone gutsy enough to call them out or until it gets what it wants: a bloody revolution leading to a socialist/anarchist America.

It's increasingly difficult to tell the difference between Teach for America -- whose leaders are at the forefront of inflammatory anti-police protests in Baltimore, Ferguson, and now McKinney, Texas -- and left-wing activist groups such as Organizing for Action (President Obama's partisan community organizing army).

Guess what, taxpayers? You're paying for it!

Wendy Kopp founded Teach for America in 1989 after writing her Princeton University thesis on the need for a "national teaching corps" of elite college grads who would serve students on short-term stints in low-income neighborhoods. The do-gooder group has exploded into a massive, nonprofit business.

The black protesters threatened to “f*ck up” the white protest organizers.

Now this…

It’s widely known thatFerguson activists were flown to New York City, Wisconsin, and even the West Bank to spread racial hatred.

Now we know why they’re so committed to the cause.

They are being paid – quite a bit – to disrupt and initiate violence across the country.

The protesters are talking online about how much they were getting paid to protest against the police and stir up racial hate in Ferguson and other communities since August.

If black lives really mattered, then black violence would matter. But that would mean taking responsibility for a broken culture which few leaders in the black community are ready to do.




The murder rate in Baltimore stood at 37.4 to 100,000 people. There have already been 63 murders this year. Fifty-six of the victims were black. Of the 16 murders in the last 30 days, 14 of the victims were black.

If black lives really mattered, then black violence would matter. But that would mean taking responsibility for a broken culture which few leaders in the black community are ready to do.

In 2012, after four years of his own failed policies, President Obama won a whopping 87.4% of the Baltimore City vote. Democrats run the city of Baltimore, the unions, the schools, and, yes, the police force. Since 1969, there have only been only been two Republican governors of the State of Maryland.
Elijah Cummings has represented Baltimore in the U.S. Congress for more than thirty years. As I write this, despite his objectively disastrous reign, the Democrat-infested mainstream media is treating the Democrat like a local folk hero, not the obvious and glaring failure he really is.

Every single member of the Baltimore city council is a Democrat.


Known for his “One Minute Drive Time” videos, Derrick Grayson gives his thoughts to dash-fixed camera as he drives.
Grayson blasts liberal politicians in his latest video, starting with Obama.

“Obama, you’ve been in office for six years and have done nothing,” Grayson says.

“Let me tell you something, people,” he continues. “The only people Obama is not blaming is the politicians.”

“We make the politicians possible, because we continue to elect and reelect them. The politicians make it possible for bad cops to persist, because they continue to keep on the force the supervisors who employ policies and procedures that allow cops to engage in damnable behavior.”

Grayson also rejected the notion that this is a racial matter.

“It’s detrimental to our health, and it really doesn’t matter what your race is.”

SEIZE THE HIGH GROUND FOR 2016

March 7 marked 50 years since 1965’s “Bloody Sunday,” when millions watched on television as state and local police fired tear gas at the crowd and attacked marchers in Selma, Alabama. The national outrage that followed led to a speech by President Lyndon Johnson to a joint meeting of Congress — appealing for Voting Rights legislation. On March 17, Democrat Senate Majority Leader Mike Mansfield and Republican Minority Leader Everett Dirksen introduced the bill.

Although the Democrats held two-thirds of the seats in both houses, these events gave it the momentum to pass, for Republican votes would counterbalance the worry that segregationist Southern Democrats would vote against it.

The bill passed and was signed into law on August 6 by President Johnson.

Forgotten by many, this followed in the tradition of Republicans pushing through the passage of the constitutional amendments —the 13th, 14th, and 15th — between 1865 and 1870 that outlawed slavery, clarified and protected citizenship rights, and prohibited denial of voting “on the basis of race, or previous condition of servitude.”

Alas, 50 years after “Bloody Sunday and 145 to 150 after passage of those three historic amendments, race relations are getting worse. Last month, the Justice Department released a report that the Ferguson, Missouri Police Department had systematically abused its power. There were two facts in the report that stunned Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart. He wrote:

What DOJ found made me ill. [Officer] Wilson knew about the theft of the cigarillos from the convenience store and had a description of the suspects. [Suspect] Brown fought with the officer and tried to take his gun. And the popular hands-up storyline, which isn’t corroborated by ballistic and DNA evidence and multiple witness statements, was perpetuated by Witness 101. In fact, just about everything said to the media by Witness 101, whom we all know as Dorian Johnson, the friend with Brown that day, was not supported by the evidence and other witness statements.

In response, many sounded off on Facebook and Twitter slamming Capehart, an African-American, as “a sellout.” The usual race hustlers sounded off, encouraging unrest. An underlying theme was that conservatives generally and Republicans, in particular, are racist.

As 2016 comes closer, some Democrat operatives will drum away at that sub rosa theme. Calumny was used effectively to undermine Mitt Romney in 2012, particularly that he was hard-hearted (he manifestly was not). Many voters are uncomfortable with the idea of voting for candidates who have been demonized as racist, sexist, or uncaring.

If the Republicans are to gain and keep the high ground and win in 2016 they need to seize the initiative now.

A good way to do so is to a pass a new coverage formula for Section 4(b) of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Two years ago, the Supreme Court declared that section unconstitutional in Shelby County v. Holder (2013) on grounds that the formula was outdated.

Section 4(b) covers any state or local government where 50 percent of eligible voters were not registered to vote or did not vote in the 1964 presidential election. In essence, it can used to fight discrimination both intentional or coincidental.

The bill was reauthorized in 1970 and 1975 to include results of the 1968 and 1972 presidential elections; however, there was no updated formula when it was reauthorized in 1982 and 2006. A new coverage formula—sponsored by Republicans in both houses—would require that any state or local jurisdiction that does not have 50 percent voter registration and/or 50 percent voter turnout in any election from 2012 forward will be subject to pre-clearance.

The Supreme Court did not invalidate any other part of the act, so there is nothing to stop Congress from passing an updated Section 4(b) formula. It would be in the great tradition of the Republican Party to stand tall for protecting full rights for all.

Passage of a new Section 4(b) formula would not only uphold that tradition, but also deprive race hustlers such as Al Sharpton from claiming that nothing is being done about racial discrimination. Then, every Republican candidate in 2016 can make it clear to his/her constituents just who is taking action to write “finis” to discrimination.

TODAY'S MUST READ: Lately liberalism has gone from psychodrama to farce.

Take Barack Obama. He has gone from mild displeasure with Israel to downright antipathy. Suddenly we are in a surreal world where off-the-record slurs from the administration against Benjamin Netanyahu as a coward and chickensh-t have gone to full-fledged attacks from John Kerry and Susan Rice, to efforts of former Obama political operatives to defeat the Israeli prime minister at the polls, to concessions to Iran and to indifference about the attacks on Jews in Paris. Who would have believed that Iranian leaders who just ordered bombing runs on a mock U.S. carrier could be treated with more deference than the prime minister of Israel? What started out six years as pressure on Israel to dismantle so-called settlements has ended up with a full-fledged vendetta against a foreign head of state.

Hillary Clinton likewise has gone from a rather run-of-the-mill liberal grandee to a political grafter.... Women’s issues?... Transparency?...

We no longer live in an age of debate over global warming. It has now transmogrified well beyond Al Gore’s hysterics, periodic disclosures about warmists’ use of faked data, embarrassing email vendettas, vindictive lawsuits, crony green capitalism, and flawed computer models....

Why this descent into travesty?

The liberal left got what it wanted in 2009 with a supermajority in the Senate and large majority in the House, a subservient mainstream media, the good will of the American people, and the most liberal president in American history. It only took that liberal hierarchy six years to erode the Democratic Party to levels that we have not seen since the 1920s. Almost every policy initiative we have seen — whether climate change, foreign policy, health care, or race relations — has imploded.

The answer to these failures has not been introspection, humility, or reevaluation why the liberal agenda proved unpopular and unworkable, but in paranoid fashion to double-down on it, convinced that its exalted aims must allow any means necessary — however farcical — to achieve them.

After all the “Black lives matter,” “Hands up, don’t shoot” protests, which included burning down businesses, blocking streets, and generally being a public nuisance, President Barack Obama’s Department of Justice, with Eric Holder still sitting at the top of it, will not charge Officer Darren Wilson with violating the late Michael Brown’s civil rights when he shot and killed him.

Justice Department lawyers will recommend that no civil rights charges be brought against the police officer who fatally shot an unarmed teenager in Ferguson, Mo., after an F.B.I. investigation found no evidence to support charges, law enforcement officials said Wednesday.

Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. and his civil rights chief, Vanita Gupta, will have the final say on whether the Justice Department will close the case against the officer, Darren Wilson. But it would be unusual for them to overrule the prosecutors on the case, who are still working on a legal memo explaining their recommendation.

A decision by the Justice Department would bring an end to the politically charged investigation of Mr. Wilson in the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown. The Missouri authorities concluded their investigation into Mr. Brown’s death in November and also recommended against charges.

33 MILLION. George Soros funds Ferguson protests, fomenting unrest

There’s a solitary man at the financial center of the Ferguson protest movement. No, it’s not victim Michael Brown or Officer Darren Wilson. It’s not even the Rev. Al Sharpton, despite his ubiquitous campaign on TV and the streets.

Rather, it’s liberal billionaire George Soros, who has built a business empire that dominates across the ocean in Europe while forging a political machine powered by nonprofit foundations that impacts American politics and policy, not unlike what he did with MoveOn.org....

In all, Mr. Soros gave at least $33 million in one year to support already-established groups that emboldened the grass-roots, on-the-ground activists in Ferguson, according to the most recent tax filings of his nonprofit Open Society Foundations.

The financial tether from Mr. Soros to the activist groups gave rise to a combustible protest movement that transformed a one-day criminal event in Missouri into a 24-hour-a-day national cause celebre.

Lynch mobs have consequences.

A lynch mob is all fun and games until someone actually gets lynched.

At first everyone has a good time marching around and shouting “Black Lives Matter” and “I Can’t Breathe.” The police are accused of being racist killers by the defenders of actual racist killers like Mumia Abu Jamal. Every community organizer within a thousand miles shows up to brandish signs claiming cops are randomly killing innocent black men even as he spits and throws bottles at any cop within reach. Not to mention engaging in the occasional act of convenience store redistribution.

The Mayor of New York City announces that his ridiculously famous son has to be afraid of the police. Obama agrees that his imaginary son also has to be afraid of the police. Their claims are equally plausible.

The lynch mobs make it their mission to invade holiday events, protest parades and scream racist rants. Then they begin attacking police officers. The media insists that protests whose participants chant, “What do we want? Dead cops!” are peaceful.

This homicidally insane definition of “peaceful” had only previously been applied to Islam.

And then, shockingly, surprisingly, out of the blue, protests led by Al Sharpton featuring violent attacks on cops finally achieve their goal with the murder of two police officers.

Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley announced on Instagram, “I’m Putting Wings On Pigs Today. They Take 1 Of Ours…Let’s Take 2 of Theirs.” #ShootThePolice #RIPErivGarner #RIPMike Brown.

It may have been the first murder that came with its own progressive social media hashtags.

But even the most violently peaceful lynch mobs eventually end with a lynching. There is no such thing as a peaceful lynch mob. There is no such thing as peacefully supporting a lynch mob.... KEEP READING

What remains to be said -- and what has been widely overlooked -- is what lies behind this campaign, what exact role Ferguson -- and Staten Island, and Cleveland, all the way back to Sanford, Florida -- play in the agenda of the American left.

That there is an agenda is not in question. Presidents, attorneys general, sports and entertainment celebrities, and the media sphere as a whole do not get involved in small local disturbances for no reason. Stepping back, we can see a consistent thread of deliberately aggravated racial incidents throughout the Obama presidency, from the Gates incident through the Trayvon Martin controversy on to Ferguson. All featured intervention from Obama, and most from Eric Holder as well. You can search all you like among previous presidencies for comparable actions, but you will do so in vain....

On Saturday night's broadcast of Justice with Judge Jeanine, former New York Police Department commissioner Bernard Kerik reacted to the news that two NYPD officers were ambushed and killed while on patrol in Brooklyn. Kerik said Mayor Bill de Blasio and Al Sharpton both "have blood on their hands."

Kerik accused de Blasio of "inciting" protesters who chanted "kill the cops" during a protest on the Brooklyn Bridge last Saturday.

"I personally feel, that Mayor de Blasio, [Al] Sharpton and others like them, they actually have blood on their hands," Kerik said on FOX News. "They encouraged this behavior. They encouraged protests. These so-called peaceful protests that, where people are standing out there saying 'kill the cops,' well, I hope they're happy, because they got what they wanted."

That is, it's actually a computer website that can pretend that it's sending texts from a cellphone of a number the user makes up and assigns to the spoof account.

This explains how the Mystery Man "Drew" sent texts to Jackie's friends, despite not actually existing:
Today the Washington Times adds significant new detail to the story. It turns out the cell numbers provided by Jackie, "are registered to Internet services that...can be used to redirect calls to different numbers or engage in spoofing." The site, known as Pinger, is an app that allows people to text for free but it can also be used to set up free texting accounts on the web. It's at least possible then that the accounts Jackie's friends were texting were not connected to a phone at all. Told about the source of the texts, one of Jackie's friends, Alex Stock, tells the Times, "That definitely raises some red flags.
