Courage is a moral force. It makes us who we are. But it isn't always right. The SS were courageous and so were the Bolsheviks. So are the ACLU lawyers who rush to defend Muslim terrorists and their clients who blow themselves up to kill non-Muslims and their infidel civilization.

Warped morals that invert the innocent and the guilty, that turns murderers into victims, make courage into an evil thing. They make it into a crime.

Murder is not a mystery. Its harbinger is the police car, the plane flying low, the smiling man who opens his coat. Evil is not a mystery either. It is moral courage tuned to the destruction of civilization. The murderer can be courageous, but not creative. The ends of evil are power and ruination.

Liberalism is all too often the cult of the poor murderer. The thug who kills over inequality. The terrorist who bombs over bigotry. And it is outrage at the victims of its own Utopian crimes.

Utopia is another name for power. It is an absolute good that negates the humanity of every person on earth.

If tonight goes as expected, Republicans will take over the Senate and Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) will be shifted to the minority. The GOP will gain more power in Congress with control of both the House and Senate. In theory, President Obama will lose some of his power because of the stronger majority opposition in both chambers, and he’ll no longer have Reid to cut off legislation from the House that derails or promotes debate about his big-government agenda.

Contrary to popular belief, we haven’t had a “do-nothing Congress” since 2010. Rather, we’ve had a do-nothing Democrat-controlled Senate, with Reid in charge for far too long. The Republican-controlled House has forwarded hundreds pieces of legislation, many of which Obama called for, to Reid’s side of Capitol Hill for debate, review and votes. They’ve been dead on arrival, while down the road, the president has stayed busy changing laws and issuing policies from his desk at the White House.

Throughout his presidency, Obama has refused to work with Congress on a number of issues, ranging from ObamaCare changes to illegal immigration to military action against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, despite having the political odds and power of Democrats in his favor. His preference is to go at it alone....

A Republican takeover of the Senate would be a rejection of Obama’s abuse of power, a rejection of his agenda and a strong signal that executive overreach must be stopped.

New senators, you have a big job to do. The balance of power must be restored. Don’t let the voters down.

She was a crusading Twitter journalist in a bastion of organized crime who chose a photograph of Catwoman as her online avatar and christened herself Felina. Like a comic-book avenger, her alter ego defied the forces of evil in her real-life Gotham of Reynosa, a border city in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas located a short drive from McAllen, Texas. Tamaulipas is notorious as a state caught in the iron grip of organized crime. Extortion, kidnappings, shootouts, arson, bodies excavated from arid pits, all of this happens in Tamaulipas, practically on a daily basis, but hardly any of it gets reported because of a media blackout the cartels decreed four years ago that is as strictly enforced as martial law after a coup....

Until early in the morning of Thursday, Oct. 16, when this message from Felina @Miut3 was posted:

The next message, sent moments later, is supposedly her warning friends and family not to make the same mistake she did, using social media to report on organized crime, because “there is no point.” The message after that is a warning to her followers and to three prominent citizen journalists that the cartels “are closer to us than you think.” The last message sent from Felina’s account is not written but rather consists of two photos: in the first, a middle-aged woman keeps her hands folded in front of her and looks directly at the camera; in the second the same woman is lying on a dirty floor with a coup de grace bullet wound in the face. The founder of Valor por Tamaulipas confirmed that the photos are of Felina. Twitter has since shut down her account.
