In recent weeks, there have been increasing expressions of concern from surprising quarters about the implementation of ObamaCare. Montana Sen. Max Baucus, a Democrat, called it a "train wreck." A Democratic colleague, West Virginia´s Sen. Jay Rockefeller, described the massive Affordable Care Act as "beyond comprehension."

The Coming ObamaCare Shock - Daniel Kessler.Wall St. Journal

Henry Chao, the government's chief technical officer in charge of putting in place the insurance exchanges mandated by the law, was quoted in the Congressional Quarterly as saying "I'm pretty nervous . . . Let's just make sure it's not a third-world experience."

These individuals are worried for good reason. The unpopular health-care law's rollout is going to be rough. It will also administer several price (and other) shocks to tens of millions of Americans.

Lawmakers, aides may get Obamacare exemption - Politico

Congressional leaders in both parties are engaged in high-level, confidential talks about exempting lawmakers and Capitol Hill aides from the insurance exchanges they are mandated to join as part of President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul, sources in both parties said....

When asked about the high-level bipartisan talks, Michael Steel, a Boehner spokesman, said: “The speaker’s objective is to spare the entire country from the ravages of the president’s health care law. He is approached daily by American citizens, including members of Congress and staff, who want to be freed from its mandates. If the speaker has the opportunity to save anyone from Obamacare, he will.”
Reid’s office declined to comment about the bipartisan talks.

EXCLUSIVE--MCCONNELL: ENTIRE COUNTRY SHOULD BE EXEMPT FROM OBAMACARE - Mike Flynn/Breitbart

McConnell spokesman Brian McGuire told Breitbart News, “Senator McConnell does not support, and is not involved in drafting, legislation that would do special favors for Congress when his constituents are still facing the increased premiums and taxes, the mountains of red tape, the loss of health care plans they like and want to keep and fewer jobs under Obamacare."

"It’s no surprise that Democrats would want to exempt themselves from the train wreck they created in Obamacare," McGuire continued, "but Sen. McConnell believes the entire country should be exempt from this historic mistake. The law is a disaster and needs to be repealed.”

The ObamaCare law is set to take effect in January, 2014. In November of that year, voters will go to the polls to elect a new Congress. That vote could set the stage for the repeal of ObamaCare. Voters will have the chance to exempt themselves from ObamaCare.
