YouTube has tapped the Southern Poverty Law Center to help it police objectionable content, the Daily Caller reported this week.

What a disaster. YouTube couldn't have chosen a worse or less trustworthy partner.

The SPLC is a dishonest, irresponsible and obnoxiously partisan organization. Trusting them to decide what constitutes objectionable and “extremist” content, as YouTube’s more than 100 “Trusted Flaggers” have been asked to do, is like asking the inmates to run the asylum....

The left-wing advocacy group lumps pro-family and pro-Israel organizations with actual neo-Nazis. If YouTube is serious about monitoring and rooting out actually objectionable content, this is not the way to go. The SPLC will slap the word “extremist” on just about anything so long as it's right-tilting.

While we’re on the topic of extremism, the SPLC is itself more closely tied to acts of political violence than many of the people and groups they monitor. One wonders if they have plans to add their own name to their “hate map.”

The SPLC is not in the business of making the world a more loving, tolerant and polite place....

The growth in online censorship by tech titans Facebook, Twitter, and Google's search and YouTube platform is one of the most under-reported stories of the past two years.

...In the latest disturbing development, Twitter, which has been increasingly heavy-handed in censoring center-right content, content providers, and everyday users since last year's general election campaign, has announced that it will unilaterally remove "blue-check" (i.e., "verified") status from groups and users who in its view have violated its Terms of Service — even for offline behavior it considers unacceptable....

Until now, even with the Milo dustup, there hasn't been a person on earth who believed that Twitter's blue check mark was anything more than a form of identity verification. Twitter, for no good reason and entirely on its own, has chosen to make "blue check" status a "badge of approval," and has appointed itself the sole arbiter of who is "approved" and who isn't.

That's an open invitation to a tidal wave of political pressure, false tattle-taling, and free speech marginalization. Expect SJWs to harass Twitter and its CEO Jack Dorsey relentlessly over anyone and everyone it doesn't like who has blue-check status — up to and including President Donald Trump. In fact, the campaign against Trump's blue check has already begun.

Lowe mocked Obama, for a live streamed meeting he held Thursday with three YouTube stars on Thursday, GloZell Green, Hank Green and Bethany Mota.

In a publicly move that targeted younger Americans, the three YouTube stars interviewed Obama.

A GloZell's video that garnered 9.7 million hits on YouTube, showed her eating fruit loops in a milk filled bathtub for what she called the cereal challenge.

Her interview with Obama occurred the same day that the White House announced that the US President would not meet with Netanyahu in early March, when he visits Washington.
