“Give me liberty or give me death”

If you are not familiar with the Gatestone Institute, you are missing out on thought-provoking and intellectual articles written in a way to educate readers on the truth sans the agenda. One such article, titled “The Dutch Death Spiral: From Paradise to Bolshevik Thought Police” explains that the recent, terrifying conviction of Geert Wilders was “historic” in that for a dissenting opinion about Islam was “criminalized.”

“Why me? I am non-plussed. Why I am included?” he said. “I was just in Istanbul for an Islamic finance forum, part of the G20. I quoted Mohammed. I’m sympathetic to the Islamic community.”

If I were any of these people, I would be very wary of newly devout employees.

...A senior U.S. intelligence official told NBC News that the article is an example of Al Qaeda’s newfound focus on lone-wolf attacks, taking a page from from ISIS’ strategy book.

Obama the playground taunter and his merchants of betrayal coddle Iran

Is there any doubt anymore whose side these people are on? - Charles Hurt/Washington Times

It is one thing to shrink from the fight. It is one thing to melt in terror over the unimaginable savagery of the tactics of Islamic radicals. It is one thing to become so paralyzed with fear that your knees buckle and you collapse into the bloody folds of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s skirts.

That is the choice President Obama has made, with steady guidance from Secretary of State John Kerry, who will soon assume the title as history’s greatest buffoon from former President Jimmy Carter and former British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain.

These men — President Obama and Mr. Kerry — are so many fathoms out of their depth that the best they can do for civilization is to toss control of the entire Middle East into the hands of the Iranians. That really and truly is their strategy.

Let Iran figure it out, they say. Let them castrate the gays. Let them lop off the hands of petty thieves. Let them enslave little girls into lifetimes of servitude.

It is one thing to command the world’s most powerful military force with such cowardice, devoid of any convictions. It is one thing to dismiss the lives of so many innocents with such cavalierness.

But it is entirely something else — something far more despicable — to turn against your own, to betray your allies. To forsake the very people whose rights and freedoms you swore to defend and uphold....

Mark Levin: Obama is Imprisonment President – More Genocide, More Rape, More Enslavement

link - Jim Hoft/Gateway Pundit

"Barack Obama is a community organizer. He’s a rabble rouser. He’s an ideologue. And, he’s an appeaser… What Obama wants is a like-minded leftist in Israel, and they’re there, to work with to accommodate his agenda. Now, I would be very careful about his agenda if I were a leftist in Israel. Since there’s been more genocide, more rape, more enslavement under this president than any president in modern history. You know I think back to Reagan. Reagan was a liberator. He liberated hundreds of millions of people under the Soviet Union. This president is the imprisonment president. Society after society is collapsing. And, he’s making nice with Iran which is an Islamic terrorist regime."

The Collapsing Obama Doctrine

Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many. - Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney/Wall St. Journal

As the terrorists of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) threaten Baghdad, thousands of slaughtered Iraqis in their wake, it is worth recalling a few of President Obama's past statements about ISIS and al Qaeda. "If a J.V. team puts on Lakers' uniforms that doesn't make them Kobe Bryant" (January 2014). "[C]ore al Qaeda is on its heels, has been decimated" (August 2013). "So, let there be no doubt: The tide of war is receding" (September 2011).

Rarely has a U.S. president been so wrong about so much at the expense of so many. Too many times to count, Mr. Obama has told us he is "ending" the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan—as though wishing made it so. His rhetoric has now come crashing into reality. Watching the black-clad ISIS jihadists take territory once secured by American blood is final proof, if any were needed, that America's enemies are not "decimated." They are emboldened and on the march.

The fall of the Iraqi cities of Fallujah, Tikrit, Mosul and Tel Afar, and the establishment of terrorist safe havens across a large swath of the Arab world, present a strategic threat to the security of the United States. Mr. Obama's actions—before and after ISIS's recent advances in Iraq—have the effect of increasing that threat....

American freedom will not be secured by empty threats, meaningless red lines, leading from behind, appeasing our enemies, abandoning our allies, or apologizing for our great nation—all hallmarks to date of the Obama doctrine. Our security, and the security of our friends around the world, can only be guaranteed with a fundamental reversal of the policies of the past six years.

In 1983, President Ronald Reagan said, "If history teaches anything, it teaches that simple-minded appeasement or wishful thinking about our adversaries is folly. It means the betrayal of our past, the squandering of our freedom." President Obama is on track to securing his legacy as the man who betrayed our past and squandered our freedom.

The second 9/11 illustrates futility of groveling for peace

Forgive President Obama if he seemed a bit shell-shocked during his brief statement Wednesday on the murderous attack against an American consulate in Libya. In June 2009, he had grand plans for harmony between East and West. In a celebrated speech delivered in Cairo, Obama spoke earnestly about the need for the West and the Muslim world to look past old hostilities and suspicions. - Washington Examiner Editorial

And then on Tuesday night, his grand vision came crashing down.

...When he laid out his vision in Cairo, Obama spoke of himself as uniquely qualified to bring about rapprochement. "I have known Islam on three continents before coming to the region where it was first revealed," he said. "That experience guides my conviction that partnership between America and Islam must be based on what Islam is, not what it isn't."

...On the 11th anniversary of 9/11, Americans have seen what all this has accomplished: exactly nothing. Despite his promises, and all of his promise as an American president with family ties to the Islamic faith, Obama has utterly failed to change the Muslim world. He has done nothing to alter Arabs' and Muslims' negative views of Americans. He has made no progress whatsoever toward peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

There is nothing wrong with a president mouthing sweet nothings to the Islamic world. But there also comes a point when Americans must recognize them for the nothings they are.

The Wages Of Appeasement: Contempt From Russia And Iran

(T)he bin Laden case was no policy test. No serious person of either party ever suggested negotiation or concession - CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER at IBD

Obama imagined his silver tongue and exquisite sensitivity to Islam would persuade the mullahs to give up their weapons program. Amazingly, they resisted his charms, choosing instead to become a nuclear power. The talks did nothing but confer legitimacy on the regime at its point of maximum vulnerability — and savagery.

For his exertions, Obama earned (a) continued lethal Iranian assistance to guerrillas killing Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan, (b) a plot to assassinate the Saudi ambassador by blowing up a Washington restaurant, (c) the announcement just this week by a member of parliament of Iranian naval exercises to shut down the Strait of Hormuz, (d) undoubted Chinese and Russian access to a captured U.S. drone for the copying and countering of its high-tech secrets.

How did Obama answer? He politely asked Monday for the drone back.

On Tuesday, with Putin-like contempt, Iran demanded that Obama apologize instead. "Obama begs Iran to give him back his toy plane," reveled the semiofficial Fars News Agency.
