The last rancher in southern Nevada has won a battle over the federal government's round up of his cattle on public land after a week-long standoff with agents.

The Bureau of Land Management announced today that it would stop trying to seize the cattle of Cliven Bundy after armed militia gathered in Nevada.

Shortly after the deal was agreed, about 100 armed protesters, some on horse back, headed to a corral to demand the BLM also hands back cattle it had already taken.

Armed members of the BLM and the Bundy family were also reported to be involved in tense talks about the cattle.

"The BLM made the announcement Saturday morning, a week after rangers started gathering the animals from land near Gold Butte.

The agency says it is “concerned about the safety of its employees and the public”. Earlier this week, BLM officers with attack dogs and supporters of the Bundy family were involved in a nasty confrontation. Cliven Bundy’s son, Ammon Bundy, was tased twice by federal agents. A pregnant woman was also thrown to the ground by an officer.

This stand down order is happening with curious rapidity after a website exposed the possible inside dealing between Nevada Senator and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, his son Rory, and a Chinese company in order to make a $5 billion deal for a massive solar farm on a portion of the Bundy Ranch.

This represents a huge victory in the fight against big government and the federal agenda to seize public land in the name of pursuing notoriously corrupt and wasteful “green energy” projects.

It serves to remind us of the power of media spotlight and grass roots activism in affecting real change....

The Info Wars report is right in that this was not only a victory for the Bundy family, but the alternative media that pushed the story out there to millions, and forced the Mainstream Media to give it recognition. This in turn placed increasing pressure upon Nevada officials, and then federal authorities, including a likely “uh-oh” moment within the Obama White House itself.
