Diana Waterman to Serve as Interim Chair for the Maryland Republican Party

Congratulations to Diana Waterman of Maryland who was recently named the interim chairman of the Maryland Republican Party. Prior to assuming this position with the state party, Waterman served on the NFRW Membership Committee.

Campaign Management School to be Held

NFRW, along with the Virginia Federation of Republican Women, will be hosting a campaign management school in Richmond, Virginia this Saturday, February 23rd. We are pleased to have Holly Robichaud teaching the seminar. Holly has worked on the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee, and the National Republican Senatorial Committee. She has also been named as member of Aristotle's National Republican Dream Team and has repeatedly helped Republican candidates in the Northeast overcome the odds and get elected.

The campaign management school will be held at the Embassy Suites in Richmond, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and registrations are still open.

Confirmed Speakers for the Annual Spring Board Meeting

NFRW is pleased to announce that Congressman Todd Rokita will be speaking about the importance of voter ID laws on Friday morning, March 8, and Jennifer Korn will be speaking about diversity outreach on Saturday morning, March 9.

Congressman Rokita represents Indiana's 4th congressional district, having been elected in 2010. Before serving in the House of Representatives, Rokita was the Secretary of State of Indiana from 2002-2010 and served on the federal executive board of the Election Assistance Commission. He was a defendant in two cases concerning Indiana's photo voter ID law that went to the Supreme Court in 2008: Crawford v. Marion County Election Board and Indiana Democratic Party v. Rokita. The Supreme Court upheld Indiana's voter ID law.

Jennifer Korn is the Executive Director of the American Action Network, located in Washington, D.C., where she focuses special attention on their Hispanic Leadership Network. She was Director of Hispanic and Womens Affairs in the Bush Administration and then was Director of Government Affairs at the Department of Justice. In the 2004 presidential campaign season, Jennifer served as the National Director for VIVA BUSH! President Bush won an impressive 44 percent of the nation wide Hispanic vote in 2004.
