Hot off the press from the California Republican Party's convention this morning, here are the recommendations for the propositions and the referendum:

30 - Gov. Brown's (9th) Tax Increase. OPPOSE
31 - State Budget. DO PASS
32 - Political Contributions by Payroll Deduction
(aka shakedown). DO PASS
33 - Auto Insurance Prices and Driver History. DO PASS
34 - Elimination of Death Penalty. OPPOSE
35 - Human Trafficking. DO PASS
36 - Three Strikes Law. OPPOSE
37 - Labeling (and open the door to lot o' lawsuits)
Genetically Engineered Foods. OPPOSE
38 - Tax to Fund Education. OPPOSE
39 - Tax Treatment for Multistate Businesses & Clean Energy Subsidies
(Solyndra, anyone?) OPPOSE
40 - Redistricting State Senate Districts. DO PASS

Regarding #40, many readers may recall that the CRP wanted to redraw the new lines but this recommendation is the opposite - it is to keep the new lines. The reason for the switch in positions is that 2014 is looking like a good year for Senate Republican candidates and we need to keep the opposition for gaining a super majority in the Senate. So remember, vote YES on 40. For Marin, that should be a no brainer - we wanted the new lines anyway as we're finally separated from San Francisco!
