Federal Judge in PA Rules Obamacare Individual Mandate Unconstitutional

A federal judge in Pennsylvania has ruled that the requirement in President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul that individuals buy health insurance is unconstitutional. - Michelle Malkin

Judge Christopher Conner in Harrisburg issued the ruling Tuesday in one of more than 30 lawsuits nationwide that have been filed over the law. He says the individual mandate is an unconstitutional extension of authority granted to the federal government under the Constitution’s commerce clause. More at CBS

Last week an appeals court in Virginia overturned a lower court judge and found the law constitutional, and about a month ago the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Georgia ruled that the individual mandate is unconstitutional.

What will the Supreme Court’s decision be? It’s best to try and make that a moot point next year by voting in a wave of people who will repeal the law in its entirety.
