Fleebaggers: Dems consider boycotting vote on Trump EPA nominee

Democrats are mulling a boycott of Wednesday’s nomination hearing for President Trump’s pick to lead the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

...Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), a committee member, said later that Democrats had “not yet” decided on whether to boycott the hearing.

...On Tuesday, Finance Committee Democrats refused to attend a hearing to vote on two Trump picks: Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) to head the Department of Health and Human Services, and Steve Mnuchin to lead the Treasury Department.

And the party has twice this week invoked a rarely used procedural rule to delay a committee vote on Trump’s attorney general nominee, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.)

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: We recommend Walker; his removal isn't justified

It's time to end the bickering and get back to the business of the state. We've had our differences with the governor, but he deserves a chance to complete his term. We recommended him in 2010. We see no reason to change that recommendation. We urge voters to support Walker in the June 5 recall election.

No governor in recent memory has been so controversial. No governor in America is so polarizing. Everyone has an opinion about Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin.

Here's ours: We see no reason to remove Walker from office. We recommend him in the June 5 recall election.

Walker's rematch with Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was prompted by one issue: Walker's tough stance with the state's public-employee unions. It's inconceivable that the recall election would be occurring absent that. And a disagreement over a single policy is simply not enough to justify a vote against the governor.

Judge William Conley ruled that union members will have to ask for their union dues to be deducted from their paychecks (rather than having the amounts automatically deducted). - WTAQ News

A federal judge in Madison had bad news Friday for public employee unions that re-certified under the new collective bargaining limits.

Judge William Conley said members of those groups would have to ask that their union dues be deducted from their paychecks, instead of automatically making their employers do it.
