Administration Official: Obama Watched Football on Sunday

According to an unnamed administration official, President Obama spent the day of the Paris Unity March watching the NFL playoffs on TV. Although at this time the White House Press office has not responded to requests seeking confirmation that this is what he was doing. - MRC TV

Both President Obama and Vice President Biden’s official White House schedules were empty on Sunday and the weather here in DC was pretty lousy so it was unlikely that Obama hit the golf course.

“The White House cited security concerns and the fact that the rally came together quickly, in about 36 hours. Earnest said presidential or vice presidential security for events such as the march are ‘onerous’ and have a ‘significant impact’ on those who attend,” The Washington Post reported. “A Secret Service official said the agency was not asked or notified about a potential trip to Paris.”

President Obama honored the NBA champions, the San Antonio Spurs, at the White House Monday, but joked that he almost sent in the second team, Vice President Biden, to host the event to keep himself "fresh for the State of the Union."
